Kieran Culkin makes dig at Succession co-star Jeremy Strong after he called himself a 'storyteller'

It's no secret that Jeremy Strong can be controversial, but Kieran Culkin has had a dig about his methods.

There's drama brewing between former Succession co-stars Kieran Culkin and Jeremy Strong.

It's no secret that Jeremy is a big character, with numerous memes and jokes being made from his interviews and some rather "method" ways of acting.

Former colleagues have called his way of working "problematic", and now, another has had a dig.

Now, his co-star Kieran Culkin, who played Roman in the smash-hit show, has had a bit of a dig about Jeremy and his methods in front of the camera.

Kieran is set to star in Now You See Me 3, and featured in a roundtable interview alongside Jeremy the day before.

Jeremy was seen saying earnestly: "There's a role for storytelling, that is so essential. Something that I'll never forget as long as I live is the responsibility that we have as storytellers."

The next day, Kieran featured in a Variety 'Actors on Actors' opposite Colman Domingo when he made his true feelings clear about the moment.

The actor confessed, referring to Jeremy: “ "I sort of object to.... this will probably bite me in the ass because there were people sitting next to us yesterday who said this...

"I object to when actors call themselves storytellers. I don't really like that. Sorry, Jeremy [Strong]. I don't think I'm telling the story."

Awkward.

He continued, praising co-star and Now You See Me writer Jesse Eisenberg: "I don't think I'm telling the story. Jesse Eisenberg was really good at making sure everyone was involved, but he wrote it. He's telling the story."

Culkin added: "We're all helping him. So that note you got - if you're aware of the story you're trying to tell, and you're trying to tell the story in the scene, that's not really your job."

Fans have been disagreeing over who has the right perspective online.

"Kieran is so real for this. I love it," praised one.

"Disagree. Everyone involved is part of telling the story. But considering their characters on Succession, it’s unsurprising that they’re on opposite sides of this lol", added another.

"This is not even a disagreement. By the actual end of the conversation Jeremy is agreeing with him and they had a good time even ended this interview saying they wanna work with each other," insisted one viewer.

One fan of Jeremy's replied: "Jeremy Strong is never beating the misunderstood actor allegations but it’s ok because I understand."

Someone else added: "They both can be right. It’s not one size fits all. Whatever pumps themselves up and gets the best performance. Both are award winning. It clearly works for Jeremy as he’s never given a bad performance. Seeing him on Broadway in An Enemy of the People was amazing."
