It's very rare to have a TV show holding onto incredible viewing numbers after it has finished.

While there will no doubt be people who are late to the party and be raving about how they're just getting stuck into Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad, viewership numbers inevitably drop off hard.

However, it seems as though Suits is bucking that trend.

The iconic show started in 2011 and had its final episode air in 2019.

It stars Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Meghan Markle, Sarah Rafferty and Rick Hoffman.

The show follows college dropout Mike Ross (Adams) who finds himself working with one of New York City's best lawyers as he attempts to run from a drug deal gone wrong.

Even though it's been four years since we said goodbye to the legal drama, people seem to be bingeing on the series like no other.

It was added to Netflix earlier this year and viewers are getting stuck into it.

Nielsen data has revealed Suits has been watched for 26.5 billion minutes across Netflix and Peacock for the last two months.

It's the seventh week that it has held more than three billion minutes being watched.

Variety says the show has become the first in TV history to stay above three billion minutes for this long.

Stranger Things has the overall lead on the amount of minutes watched with 35.5 billion.

That was set last year when the second half of the fourth season was released to much fanfare.

When Suits landed on Netflix, it was some peoples' first time ever seeing it.

Social media users recently took to Twitter to admit they've only just hit play on the series, but that they definitely should have started it sooner.

"What series is everyone watching right now?...I just started Season 2 of Suits and I'm loving it. I know I'm way behind and there's 9 seasons, but that legitimately makes me so happy to have that much show to binge lol," one person wrote.

Another fan commented: "i should’ve started suits sooner cuz it’s all i’ve been watching all day," while a third added: "Suits is one of the best shows ever."

The series has a strong IMDb score of 8.4/10, and you don't have to worry about wading through nine seasons for a disappointing ending either, as the last episode has secured a solid 9.4/10 on the site.
