Netflix viewers urge Ozark fans to add 'absolute must-see series' to their watchlist

Fans of Ozark rejoice! We may have just your next watch.

Sadly, it's not a fifth season of the gritty drama that some viewers dubbed as being 'better than Breaking Bad'.

While I could have personally enjoyed 10 seasons of Ozark, apparently showrunner Chris Mundy only ever had five seasons maximum in mind.

"I know for us, creatively, we didn’t think it would go past five," he previously told The Daily Beast. "I didn’t want to be in the position of throwing more things in that were happening so the show could keep going. We knew where we wanted to end it."

I guess we technically got five seasons in the end as the fourth was broken into two parts...

Since the series came to an end in 2022, people have been left with an Ozark-shaped hole in their lives, sparking Netflix users to ask for suggestions on what might fill the void.

One user asked people on the Netflix Bangers Facebook page for their recommendations on what's similar to Ozark and many replied with Bloodline.

The Emmy Award-winning series, penned by the creators of Damages, has three seasons, all of which are available to stream on Netflix.

If its comparison to Ozark didn't interest you, maybe the star-studded line up will instead as Bloodline stars Kyle Chandler (The Wolf of Wall Street), Linda Cardellini (Dead to Me), Ben Mendelsohn (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) and Chloë Sevigny (Big Love) are all in the show that some have said is 'one of their all-time favorites'.

But what exactly is Bloodline about, I hear you ask? The synopsis, per Rotten Tomatoes, reads: "Bloodline is a dramatic thriller that explores the demons lurking beneath the surface of a contemporary American family.

"The Rayburns are hard-working pillars of their Florida Keys community, but their past contains dark secrets that they hope remain buried. Paranoia and mistrust build as lies pile up, alliances are shattered, and an unthinkable crime takes place. The tight-knit family's formerly harmonious relationship deteriorates, and good people are forced to consider doing very bad things."

One person who loved the first season of Bloodline hailed it as 'an absolute must see series'.

Their rave review continued: "Wonderfully acted and the show is just wonderful. It takes the viewer on a ride that you just cannot miss. This is in my top three productions ever filmed."

A second liked it so much that they branded the drama as 'one of the best shows on Netflix'.

Another Bloodline fan gushed: "Outstanding entertainment. Great story, seemingly great family, great setting and plot. It had me and my wife on the edge of our seats throughout the whole series! Hoping for a 4th season!"

Linking back to the comparison to Ozark, a different person said of the show: "Good job. Almost as good as Ozark."
