Netflix viewers are saying series is so good it 'needs another season' to feed their 'addiction'

Fans of the psychological thriller have even suggested launching a petition for a fourth season of the Netflix drama

Some Netflix users are calling for another season of a series which they believe 'ranks among TV's best dramas ever'.

A psychological thriller with three seasons on Netflix may've come out nearly 10 years ago, but viewers still aren't over it and are even suggesting petitioning for a fourth season.

Prepare to cancel the rest of this week's plans:

Cast, crew and synopsis

The series was created by Todd A Kessler, Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman.

It stars the likes of Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights), Ben Mendelsohn (Animal Kingdom), Linda Cardellini (Dead to Me), broadway star Norbert Leo Butz and Sam Shepard (The Right Stuff).

Spanning three seasons, its story centers around the Rayburn family and their journey letting the eldest son Danny Rayburn (Mendelsohn) back into the fold and the drama which follows and old scars which get reopened.

The series - called Bloodline - may've premiered on February 9 all the way back in 2015, but some people are only just stumbling upon it for the first time or are still not over the fact it only lasted three seasons, calling for more.

Reviews

Bloodline has achieved an officially fresh Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer score of 62 percent, alongside a solid audience score of 74 percent.

A YouTube user wrote: "Absolutely excellent television drama. Cast is flawless. Directing fantastic (they hired some proven heavy hitters and it paid off). This show ranks among tv's best dramas ever."

And the love for the drama spilled onto LADbible Facebook group Netflix Bangers too.

Another added: "I watched it twice. So good."

And a third commented: "It needs another season."

A Reddit thread has even been created, with one user asking: "Can we... petition for a season four?"

They said: "I just finished the series, and, wow - so much left unsaid, so many loose ends. I loved every minute of these three seasons, but was very sad do hear about the high production costs (Florida Keys are apparently insanely expensive to film on) that caused the show to be cancelled."

Indeed, in 2016, The Hollywood Reporter reported Bloodline had been cancelled after Florida cut its entertainment tax incentives program.

The user continued: "I don’t understand why they couldn’t move to a similar-looking but cheaper location? They could still use drone footage of The Keys, perhaps just shoot a scene there once or twice. Is the big family house the main issue? And if yes, why not CGI it? Anyways. I’m rambling.

"To my question: can we petition for a continuation of the show? I saw someone else suggest a prequel/sequel and that sounds like a cool idea too. Just wondering if something like this has ever been done. Thx!"

A since-deleted user agreed: "Yes yes yes!!!!! Best series EVER!!!!!"
