A Netflix series that left fans on the edge of their seats is getting second series, the streamer has confirmed.

Netflix is forever adding (and removing) content from the platform, and some fan favorites are being dropped by the streamer at the end of June.

From Dexter and Goodfellas to Daddy Day Care and Pride & Prejudice, there are several cult classics leaving Netflix in the near future.

But you'll be pleased to know that a series that was only added to the platform last year isn't going anywhere anytime soon and is getting another season that's expected to premiere in the coming months.

The season in question was raved about by fans upon its release in October 2024; and people are still sharing rave reviews about it now.

Recently taking to Facebook page Netflix Bangers, one person asked which TV shows people thought were 'so good to the extent that it made you watch it until the very next morning'.

Several people went on to reply Beauty in Black, a drama series created and directed by Tyler Perry.

See the trailer here:

The first season was released in two parts, and the ending of the first half was branded as 'crazy abrupt' by viewers.

Netflix described the first 10 episodes as having 'a lot of strip club scandal, murder, blackmail, and kidnapping' — and that's (literally) just the half of it.

Of course the end of part two was also a huge cliff hanger, with Bellarie patriarch Horace marrying Kimmie in a ploy to leave her his inheritance, but fans only have to wait a few more months to find out what happens next as there's officially another season on its way.

Speaking to Tudum, director Perry said: "We left fans on the edge of their seats at the end of Season 1, and we’re thrilled to continue Kimmie’s journey as she steps into her power as the newest member of the Bellarie family.

"Kimmie exemplifies the spirit of never underestimating the underdog, and I can’t wait for fans to continue to see her story unfold. If you thought Season 1 was a wild ride, you’re not ready for Season 2."

The news of Beauty in Black's renewal was announced in March and the highly anticipated second season is expected to premiere later this year.

In the meantime, all 16 episodes are now sat waiting for you to binge (or rewatch) on Netflix.
