If you're on the hunt for a hit of naughties nostalgia, may I recommend Britney Spears' long-forgotten movie?
Hailed 'ahead of its time,' it's the singer's first and only starring role in a feature film.
The princess of pop is no stranger to the small screen, having started out her glittering career on TV, of course!

As a child, she appeared alongside the likes of Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Ryan Gosling in Disney's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
Her debut album, ...Baby One More Time, released in 1999, catapulting her to pop-star status.
Some four years and another hit album later, Britney starred in the 2002 coming-of-age drama, Crossroads.
The movie follows three childhood friends, Lucy (Britney Spears), Kit (Zoe Saldana) and Mimi (Taryn Manning), who reunite on the night of their high school graduation.

They've met to dig up a 'wish box' they buried as kids, but their now-strained interactions highlight just how much how their lives changed.
Lucy is a sheltered valedictorian, Kit a socialite engaged to a college student, and Mimi a pregnant outcast.
But when a spontaneous road trip to Los Angeles helps them confront personal struggles - including family trauma, identity and past abuse - they begin to rekindle their friendship.
Sex and the City's Kim Cattrall plays Lucy's estranged mom, while Dan Aykroyd and Anson Mount round-off the celebrity cast.

If you're wanting to catch Crossroads on Netflix, then you'd better get a move on as the movie leaves the platform on Wednesday (May 14).
Each month, the streamer reshuffles its catalogue - meaning a whole host of titles get removed, sometimes without us even realizing.

Rotten Tomatoes critics scored Crossroads a shocking 15 percent, and fans didn't score it much higher at 40 percent.
But if you want a trip down memory lane to 'feel all the feels,' go ahead and press play.

One fan wrote: "I LOVE early 2000s feel good girly pop coming of age fashion rom com movies and this hit the spot! Perfect movie."

A second weighed in: "Enjoyable from start to finish with plenty of twists and turns along the ride for this friendship road trip flick."
A third concluded: "Britney's acting is fabulous and what a great concept. Many social topics ahead of it's time for this film and felt all the feels."
While Spears never fronted a movie again, she did make cameos on a couple of fan favorite TV shows. In 2006, she guest starred in Will & Grace as brash TV host Amber-Louise in season eight's 'Buy, Buy Baby.'
And who can forget her comedic portrayal of flirty receptionist Abby in How I Met Your Mother?
Crossroads leaves Netflix on Wednesday (May 14).
