His attempt to bring her home uncovers deep secrets, violence and complicated, hidden worlds he could never have imagined.
Gavin and Stacey's Ruth Jones, Emily in Paris' Minnie Driver and How to Get Away with Murder's Alfred Enoch also star.

Already, the TV series has racked up an impressive 86 percent over on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.
One critic summed it up as 'bonkers' and 'likely to engage viewers' but added: "One can't help but be left wanting a little more."
Another praised its 'twists and turns' but caveated it was 'often to the point of dizziness.'
"Yet it slides down easily, and the compulsion to stick around and see how it all slots together is hard to resist," they added.
If you've already binged your way through the entirety of Run Away and want more Coben, then we've got you covered.
While the author has an extensive catalogue of adaptations on Netflix, you might have totally missed his 'well-crafted nail-biter' movie with 93 percent ratings.
The critically-acclaimed thriller is directed by Guillaume Canet and adapted from Coben’s 2001 novel of the same name.
The story follows Dr. Alexandre Beck (François Cluzet), a pediatrician still grieving the brutal murder of his wife Margot (Marie-Josée Croze) eight years earlier.
When two bodies are discovered near the site of her murder, the police reopen the case and Alex suddenly becomes a suspect again.
The mystery deepens when he receives an anonymous email containing a video clip that seems to show Margot alive, forcing him to confront tangled truths, hidden enemies and deadly secrets.
The film in question is called Tell No One.
The French language thriller was hailed as 'ingenious' by Rotten Tomatoes critics, as one dubbed it 'the most Hitchcockian film that Hitchcock never made.'

For those of you who hate a slow burn, another critic claimed it 'wastes no time' in getting to the central plot.
Another reckoned it was 'not only one of the most satisfying book adaptations, but also one of the most fun, perfectly-paced genre films I've seen in years.'
Somebody else described it as 'a taut, well crafted nail-biter that manages to rise above its genre, and give the audience just a little bit more.'
