Social media users have been insisting people need to hurry up and watch (or rewatch) one of the most iconic and quotable buddy cop movies ever.
Buddy cop movies used to be a dime a dozen but seemingly don’t see the Hollywood lights as much as they used to.
With that said, there is nothing stopping you from watching and enjoying the absolute classics.

One of the best things about these comedic-action flicks is that they tend to have such hilariously memorable scenes with great leads, and this film is no different.
If you haven’t somehow watched the legendary duo of a combat ready and infinitely resourceful Hong Kong detective paired up with a fast-talking loudmouth LAPD officer, you don’t know what you are missing.

That last paragraph surely gave it away, but if it didn’t, for the record we are talking about 1998’s Rush Hour starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.

The entire trilogy is currently available to watch on Netflix but is set to leave the platform by the end of the month.
Fans on Reddit have praised the film for being timeless and truly quotable.
One user commented: “I just had realization of how great all three rush hour movies. It’s funny, sad, emotional but always keeps your eyes on screen. The chemistry those two have is iconic.”
Another wrote: “I think this series is ageless... it's my fun, much-needed condo in the Virgin Islands when I need a getaway... just going home again for a few minutes...”

A third simply said: “Love rush hour 1 for sure. it’s so damn quotable and hilarious.”
While someone else added: “He was hysterical in those movies, I hope they do another before they are too old.”
But with the third movie coming out in 2007, fans have been starved of another outing for quite a while.

There have long been murmurs and rumors that a fourth film is on the way but there has been very little in the way of concrete information.
While promoting Karate Kid: Legends earlier this year in May, Chan let fans know how things are going with a long-awaited sequel.

Unfortunately, when asked about the status of a fourth Rush Hour, Chan said he was in the dark just as much as fans were, according to ScreenRant.

The actor admitted: “I don't know. Ask the director, ask the studio, ask the writer.”
He did go on to say that he was excited about the potential project but noted the clock was very much ticking for him and Tucker.
Chan added: “Hurry up! Otherwise, Chris Tucker and me [will be] 100 years old. We'll be old men doing Rush Hour. Yes! [I want to do it] And I want to do [another] Shanghai Knights, Shanghai Dawn. Shanghai Noon, Shanghai Knights, and Shanghai Dawn. The script is still going on. I want to do a Rush Hour 4.”
So despite being 71 years old, its clear Chan still has some kick left in him for many of his most popular franchises.
