Bryan Cranston has opened up on whether he will return to his role in a ‘must-watch’ Netflix drama which viewers have been binge-watching.

Cranston has shown in the past he is more than willing to return to an iconic role.

The actor returned to play Walter White on two separate occasions following the end of Breaking Bad, first in the Jesse focused El Camino, then later in Better Call Saul.

Add to that him stating he was willing to return to Malcolm in the Middle, and was even working on a script, and it’s clear – if the idea’s good enough, he’s not particular about retreading old ground.

The Breaking Bad actor starred in a Netflix drama called Your Honour which has had fans raving since it was added to the platform earlier this week.

Originally intended as a one season limited series, it was surprisingly picked up for a second season continuing the story.

The show follows Cranston playing a Judge whose son is involved in a hit-and-run accident with the son of a crime boss.

Cranston’s character then proceeds to help his son covering it up, and it all falls apart from there.

Whilst the Breaking Bad actor initially stated on the Dax Shepard podcast Armchair Expert that there wasn’t going to be a season three, he later clarified that in an interview with Deadline.

He said: “My comment was I’m not sure that there could be or there is.

“There is some discussion. Showtime has indicated there is interest and we’re very proud to know that every episode in Season 2 increased in the audience from the previous week.”

“If it happens, fantastic, but it’d have to be some great reason to keep expanding in this world and to find out where the allegiances are.”

The fact that discussions are even happening is great news, and we’re glad to hear the possibility is still alive.

Spoilers ahead for the show.

“I’d be very interested in producing that. I don’t know about being in it because my guy’s back in prison.”

The show leaves off season two with Cranston’s character in prison, and with his son having been killed in the season two finale.

He went on to tell Deadline however, that there would be one situation in which he would come back to the role, despite this fact.

He said: “I said, ‘This guy, if this really happened and you lost a child, it changes your life forever. So if you really want to show a man in abject despair, if there is any possibility of a life beyond that, let’s do it. But it has to be incrementally discovered.’”

Cranston went on to say that Showtime, the studio who produced the show ‘were willing to do that’.

Considering fans are raving about it, it’s surely only a matter of time.
