Fans of a Netflix mini-series with an unbeatable rating of 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes are counting down to the release of new episodes after creators confirmed a third season was on its way.

Is there a better feeling than having a TV show you love be renewed for more episodes? Potentially the moment you sit down on the sofa with a plate full of food and your phone on Do Not Disturb to actually watch it, but it's pretty close.

Anyway, fans of one particular series set in Turin, Italy, are over the moon to learn that it's been renewed for a third season, after Tinny Andreatta, Netflix's Vice President of content for Italy, confirmed the news.

Starring Matilda De Angelis, the series, which is inspired by a true story, follows Lidia Poët, Italy's first qualified female lawyer, who is banned from practising law because she's a woman.

Titled The Law According to Lidia Poët, the series is set in late 19th-century Turin and sees Lidia fight for her right to be enrolled in the official register of lawyers.

And as if that wasn't enough to keep her busy, she also passes the time by investigating murders.

The first season of the series dropped in 2023 and was followed by the second instalment one year later, but with just six episodes per season, The Law According to Lidia Poët makes for perfect bingeing material. If you're committed, you could easily watch the whole thing in one weekend.

A good bingeing session would be the perfect way to prepare yourself for season three, which was confirmed in December to be on the way.

Fans are highly anticipating the new episodes, especially after the first two seasons earned the series a score of 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

The series, which is in Italian, has been likened to other Netflix favorites like Bridgerton, with Netflix's Tudum urging people to watch the show if they needed a way to pass the time as they wait for Lady Whistledown to make a comeback. So, what are you waiting for?
