Netflix users are returning to a hugely popular series starring the likes of Tosin Cole and Nadine Mills after bingeing its six episodes all in one go.

If there's one thing Netflix users are good at, it's binge-watching - and the streaming service just so happens to be brilliant at delivering the type of content that you just can't tear yourself away from.

We've just had the gripping series Adolescence living rent-free in our minds, but if you're craving a good sofa session then there's one supernatural series that is almost guaranteed to keep you hooked.

With an unbeatable score of 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, the series is created by British rapper Rapman and tells the story of a group of 'seemingly ordinary' people from south London who unexpectedly develop super powers.

Armed with these new abilities, the group are forced to try to come to terms with their powers while also dealing with everything that's already going on in their day-to-day lives.

Explaining the series to Tudum, Rapman said: "I want to tell a story about powers, but with normal people [who have] relationship problems, problems with their children, problems with their siblings, problems at work, problems on the streets.”

Titled Supacell, the series first arrived on Netflix in June 2024 and quickly caught viewers' attention as they described it as '10/10'.

Fast-forward to almost one year later, and fans are now going back for round two of the series as they simply can't get enough.

"might rewatch supacell that was peak," one fan wrote on Twitter, as another commented: "Just finished rewatching Supacell, I need Season 2, who can we beg."

The good news is, fans don't actually need to beg anyone as Netflix has already confirmed that season two of Supacell is on the way.

Rapman revealed that he always envisioned additional episodes beyond the first series, telling Tudum: “I’ve always had it [mapped out] to Season 3. I know how Season 2 ends. I’ve got stuff planned for this story. I’ve had this in my head for years, so I’m ready to go.”

The creator promised some big storylines for the second season, indicating the first six episodes were only the beginning as he described season one as his 'Batman Begins'.

"It’s a prequel of what they’ll be like," he said. "Season 2 is when you really see what they become. That future you saw at the end of the pilot in London, that exact future doesn’t exist anymore. They’ve changed everything. It’s going to be interesting when we get into the writers’ room.”
