Regardless of your verdict on it, if you're just watched Harlan Coben's Lazarus, you should stream his 100% rated Netflix series next.

The acclaimed US writer's latest mini-series has finally dropped on Prime Video, though it appears to have split opinion.

Lazarus stars Sam Claflin as forensic psychiatrist Joel 'Laz' Lazarus, who returns to his hometown following the death of his father, Dr Jonathan Lazarus (Bill Nighy).

But when he starts experience disturbing hallucinations, Joel is drawn into investigating a string of cold-case murders, including the decades-old mystery surrounding his own sister.

It's based on an original story idea by Coben and screenwriter Danny Brocklehurst.

The pair previously collaborated on three other projects; 2020's The Stranger, 2021's Stay Close and 2024's Fool Me Once.

Lazarus has racked up a Rotten Tomatoes critics score of just 42 percent, but opinions are split.

Some reckoned it was a 'mind-bending mystery' while others slammed it as 'boring' and almost 'unwatchable.' Ouch.

Whether you loved or hated the mini-series, a 'gripping' 100% rated Coben drama should be next on your binge list.

The Netflix drama debuted in 2021 and follows Mateo (Mario Casas), a man whose once-buried past resurfaces to shatter his idyllic new life.

Wifed up, a baby on the way, and a dream house move on the cards, Mateo is pretty damn happy.

But everything unravels when his wife Olivia (Aura Garrido) receives a disturbing phone call during a business trip.

Turns out, you really can't outrun your past...

The TV series in question is called The Innocent.

The Spanish-language show racked up a flawless 100 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes - unlike Lazarus.

Critics praised its 'impeccable' production and hailed it a 'wild, wild ride'.

Elsewhere, one fan penned: "I've never watched a show where I couldn’t get distracted one minute, Hollywood doesn’t make series like this anymore."

Another wrote: "Hands down one of the best shows I have ever seen! You’ll be glued literally the entire time, and the character development... was so good I teared up here and there throughout every episode."

Someone else gave their opinion: "Perfect series, must watch. So captivating I watched five straight episodes back to back."

Fans previously discussed the series on the Netflix Bangers Facebook Group, as one person admitted to 'staying up all night' to binge the show.

"Watching The Innocent, getting better by the second," another said.

"Very gripping. Worth a watch," a third agreed.

The Innocent is available to stream now on Netflix and Lazarus is streaming on Prime Video.
