Initially premiering on HBO Max in January, it's also available to stream via the HBO Prime Video add-on. Recently, social media users have been praising the series as their favorite drama of recent times.

Dr Michael 'Robby' Robinavitch (Noah Wyle) is the senior attending physician overseeing the shift.
Haunted by traumatic memories linked to the death of his mentor during the COVID-19 pandemic, Robby must push on as he guides a team of doctors, residents and medical students.
The staff roster includes the difficult Dr Heather Collins (Tracy Ifeachor), right-hand man Dr Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball), charge nurse Dana Evans (Katherine LaNasa) and third-year medical resident Dr Samira Mohan (Supriya Ganesh).
The series in question is called The Pitt, after the fictional hospital's nickname.

Over on Rotten Tomatoes, it's racked up an almost-flawless 95 per cent score. Critics hailed it a 'bracingly fresh medical drama,' as NPR's Linda Holmes summed it up as 'a very sharp season of television with outstanding performances across the board.'
Fans, meanwhile, labelled it 'phenomenal'.
In a recent Reddit thread, one person asked for the best 'recent' shows people had watched.
"I'm talking shows that came out this year or late last year. Don't hit me up with shows from five years ago, I've seen them."
The top answer was The Pitt, as one fan said they appreciated the show’s long, continuous single shots that follow characters through the ER.

"It’s actually quite impressive," they said.
Another said their husband rewatched a couple of episodes and was 'surprised and impressed' to discover the background actors 'are speaking in medical speak totally in character doing their background acting.'
It's no doubt clever camera work and this level of attention to detail that has made the drama stand out above the rest.
Better yet, a new season of The Pitt is set to land on January 8.
