Netflix has poked fun at itself while addressing people's grievances about a new season of one of its shows.
Frustratingly, it's not uncommon for TV fans to have to wait a long time between seasons of their favorite shows, Stranger Things being a perfect example.
The second part of the fourth series aired in July 2022, and fans will have to wait a painstaking three years for the fifth and final season of the sci-fi series - which has long been one of Netflix's most successful shows.

In recent weeks, the streamer confirmed that Stranger Things season five, part one, will debut on the platform in November, while the second part will become available on Christmas Day. The third and final part (yes, there's three parts to this season) will then be available to watch on New Year's Eve.
Fans also had to wait some years for the new season of another Netflix fan-favorite, Ginny & Georgia. Season three premiered yesterday (June 5) - over two years since the last season - and many have been left saying the same thing.
Those who have seen the show will know that Ginny & Georgia has a lot of younger characters in it, and it's these actors who change the most between seasons as, obviously, they continue to grow up when they're not filming.

One person in particular who has grown up a fair amount in the two years since season two is 14-year-old Diesel La Torraca, who stars as Austin Miller in the show.
Of course this is expected, but fans were left complaining that there's only supposed to be a short period of time between the end of season two and season three in terms of the storyline, but this wasn't terribly believable with how different La Torroaca looks now.

Noting this, one Ginny & Georgia viewer said on Twitter alongside photos of the actor in seasons two and three: "Netflix should stop taking 2+ years between seasons because wdym these two scenes are supposed to be only a few months apart?"

Someone replied to the post: "Lmfao. if they’re gonna take 2 years in between seasons AT LEAST FILM IT ALL AT ONCE THEN RELEASE WHEN YOU WANT……"
"They really threw some glasses on this grown 14 year old kid and said go on Austin be 9/10 years old," someone else said of the new season.
Another wrote: "They need to stop with these long breaks between seasons because it has made season 3 so inauthentic. Austin went from a child to a teenager in 48 hours."
A different person penned: "It makes me laugh too much that Austin was a child, but now he's a teenager and it should have been what 2 days? I can’t."

Netflix has since responded to people's comments in a tongue-in-cheek way.
Sharing side-by-side snaps of Le Torroaca, the streamer's official account tweeted: "Stress changes you."
I mean, they ain't wrong...
All three seasons of Ginny & Georgia are available to stream on Netflix now.
