Adam Sandler's next movie is set to be a family affair as his two daughters join in on the fun.

The trailer for You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah has dropped and it shows the girls acting alongside their famous dad.

The upcoming Netflix flick is adapted from Fiona Rosenbloom's 2005 coming-of-age novel of the same name.

It follows Stacy Friedman and her best friend Lydia Katz, who are navigating the ups and downs of middle school.

Stacy is busy planning her bat mitzvah and dreaming about her crush, Andy Goldfarb.

However, she is left devastated when Lydia steals Andy from her, causing the two friends to have a fall-out.

Sandler's daughter Sunny plays the lead role of Stacy, while his eldest daughter, Sadie, also makes an appearance in the flick.

The film will focus on Stacy as she prepares for her bat mitzvah.

Idina Menzel, who previously appeared alongside Sandler in Uncut Gems, plays his wife in the film.

Also appearing in the cast are Saturday Night Live's Sarah Sherman, Dean Scott Vazuez from Transformers: Rise of The Beasts and Samantha Lorraine of The Walking Dead fame.

Sammi Cohen directed the movie from a script written by Alison Peck.

The trailer shows Stacy gushing about how excited she is for her bat mitzvah which is a coming-of-age ceremony that takes place for girls in the Jewish faith. Boys have a bar mitzvah.

The rituals take place once the girl turns 12 and when a boy turns 13. They are then judged to be accountable for their own behaviors. Usually, the ceremonies are accompanied by big parties with lots of gifts.

Sandler, who is Jewish in real life, plays Stacy's dad and tries to help her navigate the ups and downs of adolescence.

Stacy and Lydia fall out over a boy in their school.

Stacy can be seen pushing for Dua Lipa to perform at her bat mitzvah, to which Sandler's character responds: "You can have a ball pit."

When an exasperated Stacy complains that she's 'had her period for seven months', her dad responds: "That's a long period, sweet heart."

You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah is the latest in a line of movies made by Sandler for the streaming platform.

Other films made by the Happy Gilmore star include The Ridiculous 6 (2015), The Week Of (2018), Murder Mystery (2019), and Hubie Halloween (2020).
