The trailer shows Stacy gushing about how excited she is for her bat mitzvah which is a coming-of-age ceremony that takes place for girls in the Jewish faith. Boys have a bar mitzvah.

The rituals take place once the girl turns 12 and when a boy turns 13. They are then judged to be accountable for their own behaviors. Usually, the ceremonies are accompanied by big parties with lots of gifts.

Sandler, who is Jewish in real life, plays Stacy's dad and tries to help her navigate the ups and downs of adolescence.

When an exasperated Stacy complains that she's 'had her period for seven months', her dad responds: "That's a long period, sweet heart."

You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah is the latest in a line of movies made by Sandler for the streaming platform.

Other films made by the Happy Gilmore star include The Ridiculous 6 (2015), The Week Of (2018), Murder Mystery (2019), and Hubie Halloween (2020).
