Adam Sandler has been a staple on our TV screen for thirty years, and if you’re struggling to pic a favorite film of his, the list has already been compiled.
Obviously, he has seen much success with his flicks, particularly with Happy Gilmore 1 and now 2, but you’ve probably gotten lost at just how many projects he’s completed.
When Sandler drops a movie, people flock to it, and in return, the movie makes money and goes on to tally those sales in its gross profits.
So, surely when a film has the highest grossing amount, it’s the one fans all agree is the best?

Mm, maybe not.
Fans have just found out what the top ten Sandler films are, and some people are mad.
This is because they believe the best films he’s created didn’t make the cut, despite being childhood favorites that comforted them.

If you loved 50 First Dates or Mr. Deeds, you’re not going to be happy either.
The list was revealed by Yahoo! News and was then turned into a ‘can you name it’ game on the YouTube channel The Makeshift Project.
There, they tried to guess which films ranked in the top ten.
Here’s what they were:

Did you cry during the scene where Sandler fell in his hospital gown in the carpark when it was raining?
Of course you did, and for that reason, it grossed $238 million.
6. Pixels

For a film about an intergalactic war between vintage video game characters, aliens, and mere humans, earnings $244 million was a good feat.
5. Grown Ups 2
Following a group of old friends who have now grown up and have families of their own, this sequel follows even more ridiculous scenarios the men face in their lives.

The film earned $247 million.
4. Grown Ups
Pretty much the same as the sequel but, of course, it came first - which is why it went on to earn $272 million.
3. Hotel Transylvania

This film centers on Dracula, who operates a monster resort, and battles his demons when a human falls in love with his teenage daughter. The earnings for this one was $378 million.
2. Hotel Transylvania 2
How is it possible for sequels to gross higher than an original film?
Well, maybe people loved seeing Dracula’s daughter become a monster.

For this, the earnings were $470 million.
1. Hotel Transylvania 3
Really? Another one? This one is pure family fun, set in a summer vacation environment for the vampire family.

People were a little annoyed about this, with one person commenting: “Uncut gems and happy Gilmore not being on there is criminal.”
Another claimed the list made them ‘mad’, while someone else said: “The longest yard not being on this list is criminal.”
This list comes soon after the release of the long awaited Happy Gilmore 2, which was created 29 years after the first.
Even though fans loved it, they were majorly annoyed when Happy's wife Virginia, played by Julie Bowen (Modern Family), died because her husband (Sandler) hit her with a golf ball during a tournament.
The decision to kill her off in the film angered fans, and one person wrote on Twitter: "Why the f**k did they start off Happy Gilmore 2 with him killing Virginia. You cannot be serious."
Another tweeted: "Echoing similar sentiments a different viewer wrote: "Extremely disappointed with the decision to kill Virginia off… Their dynamic could have made this movie."
