Mila Kunis refused to let Ashton Kutcher turn down That 90s Show no matter what

Mila said the pair 'owed their careers' to the show

Ashton Kutcher has revealed how Mila Kunis refused to let him turn down That '90s Show no matter what.

Kunis and Kutcher, who have been married since 2015, starred in the original That '70s Show together as Kelso and Jackie.

According to Kutcher, when the pair were asked if they would reprise their roles, Kunis was adamant that they would.

No matter what the script turned out to be, Kunis told Kutcher that the pair 'owed their careers' to the show.

Speaking to Esquire, Kutcher said: “[She] goes, ‘You know, we owe our entire careers to this show. It doesn’t matter what the script is, we’re doing it.’”

The reboot to the OG, That '90s Show follows Eric and Donna’s daughter Leia staying with Red and Kitty during the summer of 1995.

Leia - named after the Star Wars character because her dad Eric is obsessed with the sci-fi franchise - is out to reinvent herself over the school break.

After convincing her parents to let her stay with her grandparents, Leia enlists a new crew, and, as expected, their favourite hang-out quickly becomes the infamous Point Place basement.

Original That '70s Show cast members Topher Grace (Eric), Laura Prepon (Donna), Wilmer Valderrama (Fez), Kutcher (Michael) and Kunis (Jackie) all return for the reboot.

In the show, Kutcher and Kunis' characters are married, but during a chat with Access Hollywood, Kunis says she initially disagreed with the idea.

“My husband and I are together in [the new show], which is weird because we shouldn’t have been,” she said.

“You know what, I called B.S. I was like, ‘My character would be with Fez.’ I think that I ended up with Wilmer [Valderrama]’s character. And I was like [to Kutcher], ‘Why are you and I together?’

"And also, he was married when ’70s ended to Shannon Elizabeth’s character, I think.”

Having dropped on Netflix last month, the reboot has been getting some impressive reviews.

In fact, many fans have taken to social media begging the streaming service to produce more.

One fan tweeted: "Just finished That '90s Show and I kinda loved it???? The new cast has good chemistry and I love leia she really is Eric's daughter. I just wish the laugh track would dial back but this is a good reboot bc they don't rely on nostalgia. Kitty and red carried ofc. I'm hoping for a s2."

Someone else wrote: "I finished That '90s Show, I really want another season," with three crying emojis.

Another urged people to watch the show to ensure it comes back. "OKAY BUT ALL OF YOU BETTER WATCH THAT '90S SHOW ON NETFLIX. I NEED A SECOND SEASON," they demanded.

And a fourth tweeted: "Ok but That '90s Show was actually rly cute and i want a second season. fun and easy watch!"
