Ashton Kutcher gave a brief shoutout to his ex-wife, Demi Moore, as he reflected on his latest TV project.
47-year-old Kutcher spoke to Entertainment Tonight, alongside co-stars Anthony Ramos and Jeremy Pope, as they discussed their science fiction, body horror TV show, The Beauty.
Kutcher stars as a biotech billionaire who is responsible for an apparent sexually-transmitted drug, known as the Beauty, which makes the user more physically attractive. However, there seem to be some rather drastic side effects, including death, violence and chaos.
The show, created by Ryan Murphy and Matt Hodgson, is slated to premiere on FX and Hulu on Disney + on January 21.

During the interview, the show was praised for being a ‘wild ride’ but also for the parallels it shares with the 2024 film The Substance, which stars Kutcher’s ex-wife, Moore.

In Moore’s smash-hit body horror film, she takes an illicit drug called ‘the substance’ that allows her spend half her time as a younger, more beautiful version of herself.
Moore received heaps of praise for her role in the project, scooping up awards at the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards and the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

After the similarities were brought up in the interview with Kutcher and his co-stars, he went on to praise Moore for her performance.
He said: “I mean, one, Demi's performance in The Substance, obviously, she got extraordinary accolades, I'm so proud of her, she killed it.”
Kutcher and Moore began dating in 2003 before tying the knot in 2005. The pair announced that they had split in 2011, and an official divorce was finalized two years later.
Back in 2023, Kutcher opened up about the pair’s divorce in a candid interview and admitted that he found the whole thing ‘humiliating and embarrassing’.

Speaking to Esquire, he said: “Nothing makes you feel like a failure like divorce.
“Divorce feels like a wholesale f**king failure. You failed at marriage.”
However, he noted that he held no ill feelings towards Moore and added: "You own the s**t you did wrong, and you go forward."
