Mila Kunis has opened up about how she and her husband, Ashton Kutcher, stick by an integral rule to ensure they can be good parents.
Being a parent can be difficult at the best of times and balancing the complexities of work and family life can certainly be challenging, even for celebrities.
Actor Mila Kunis, 42, has recently spoken about a crucial rule she and fellow star Kutcher, 47, stick by for the benefit of their children.
The pair have long been working on film and TV projects before they welcomed their two kids, Wyatt, 11, and Dimitri, eight, so have had to make some adjustments over the years.

Speaking to Extra last week, Kunis said: "Ash and I never work at the same time.

"Neither one of us works, when the kids are in school, out of town."
Kunis explained there are caveats to this rule, however. Exceptions can be made for the one-movie a year rule if the shoots don’t require her to travel away from home.

She added: "If it shoots in L.A. — my next project is shooting in L.A. in January — so I'll do that.
"Then the project after that shoots in the summer, outside in a different country."
Kunis said that despite both her and Kutcher continuing to act, they do their best to make sure they are available for their children.
The star also noted she is very much aware of how lucky she is to be selective about the type of work she accepts.

She added: "We tag team in and out, but neither one of us is ever absent.
"It's a luxury, and I'm really fortunate. So I don't take that for granted either."

Kunis also revealed how grateful she is for her lifestyle and family, something she has been able to share with Kutcher for over a decade, with the pair tying the knot in 2015.

Kutcher previously spoke about how fortunate he is for his life, telling E! News that his 'dream role' is the role he 'plays as a father and a husband'.
The 47-year-old told the outlet: "My life is so good.
"I love spending time with my kids. I love my wife so much. I'm the most fortunate human being that I know, and I could take all my problems, put them in the middle of the room with everybody else on the planet's problems, and I'd go get mine back because I love my problems and I love my joys.
"I wouldn't give it up for a minute."
