    Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis explained why they will not leave any inheritance for their children

    Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are not here for the nepo baby ride as Kutcher has explained he is against leaving trust funds for their children.

    In recent years there has been increasing attention and popularity of the term nepo baby. According to dictionary.com, a nepo baby refers to “a notable or powerful person, such as a celebrity or politician, with a parent who is also notable or powerful, especially one whose industry connections are perceived as essential to their success”.

    Married in 2015, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have two children - a daughter, Wyatt Isabel who is 10 years old and son, Dimitri Portwood, who is 8-years-old. But the celebrity couple are not keen on leaving an inheritance for their kids.

    Kutcher’s net worth is $200 million in 2024, and Mila’s net worth is $75 million, as per Celebrity Net Worth. This means that together, the celebrity couple have a combined net worth of $275 million. However, despite this, Kutcher and Munis have said that they won’t be passing down this wealth to their children.

    In an interview with Dax Shepard on his podcast Armchair Expert in 2018, Kutcher explained the couple's children Isabelle and Dimitri won't be having 'a trust set up for them'.

    As an alternative to passing their trust fund down to their children, the couple plan to donate their money to charity and 'to various' things.

    However, Kutcher added: "If my kids want to start a business, and they have a good business plan, I'll invest in it. But they're not getting trusts."

    Although the “Punk’d” star made his remarks a good few years ago, Kutcher’s comments often resurface during nepo baby discussions about who and who doesn’t apply to this term.

    One X user said: “There was a time when families sought to build dynasties, one generation building on the accomplishments of the last.

    “Now everyone is an atomic unit, valuable only in so far as it serves the consumerist machine. And your children? Do not spoil them lest they become worse workers.”

    Another shared: “Instead, they will leave their fortune to spoiled and entitled CEOs of nonprofits."

    Mina also vocalised her take on passing down an inheritance for their kids in a 2017 interview with Elle UK. The Bad Moms actor said her main priority is to ensure they don’t evolve into ‘a**holes’.

    "There's enough a**holes in this world! We don't need to contribute. But, you know, there's some nice people," she told the outlet.

    She went on to share how that year she withheld Christmas gift giving. Mina explained: "We're instituting [no presents] this year because when the kids are [younger than] one, it doesn't really matter. Last year when we celebrated Christmas, Wyatt was two, and it was too much. We didn't give her anything — it was the grandparents," she said.
