Disney Channel alum Skai Jackson has been dragged by the internet for demanding that fans send her $5 for the 'chance to win a MacBook' in an online raffle.

After all those TV appearances, fans were surprised the 21-year-old actor was asking for a $5 entry fee for an online raffle she was running over Instagram.
She was absolutely roasted by some fans, with one writing: "The Disney money has run out."
Another said: "Skai Jackson is on TikTok live telling children to send her $5 to her cashapp for a chance to win a MacBook.

"She claims she doesn’t need the money, so then why is she charging for entry? This not weird to y'all?"
A third shared the same sentiment: "Girl, bye! If you were 'fine' and 'didn’t need money,' you would give a MacBook to a fan for FREE! Those don’t cost much especially an air. @skaijackson do better instead of trying to cash in on your fans!"
Following the criticism, Jackson clapped back at her outraged fans.

Skai said: "It is not that serious for a damn $5. It is called a raffle."
She continued to rant: "I don’t know if you guys have been to school before, but I know I’ve been to school and we used to have raffles all the time.
"You might get five, you put in $5, $2, whatever, and you get a prize. Like, people do raffles all the time."
As questions poured in from her viewers, she declared: "Yes, the money goes towards the prize, and then like I said, if there’s anything left over, I’m doing a second giveaway soon.

"So that’s what it’s going towards. I do not need money. Me personally, I do not need money."
She then doubled down: "And I’m not saying this like I’m a – in a bragging way or anything like that, or in a mean way. I’m just letting you guys know, I do not personally need money. Like I am very fine in my life. I don’t need, I don’t need money."
Jackson shared on her Instagram story that a winner for the MacBook has now been selected.
