Selena Gomez has a stark message for cruel body shamers who want to mock her weight: mind your own damn business.

The Only Murders In The Building actor shut down the critics in the wake of her appearance at the 2023 Golden Globes.

She wore a dress with voluminous purple sleeves and a daring, deep, off-the-shoulder neckline.

She looks stunning to us, but not everyone agreed.

One Twitter user said: "Looks a bit dumpy in my opinion."

Another agreed: "Damn, she got fat."

A third asked the one question that is always a social faux-pas: "Oh, Selena is pregnant?"

A fourth chimed in rather brutally: "Selena is so horrible looking now. What happened?"

Others on social media hit out at those making rude comments by highlighting the star has Lupus, a condition that causes fluctuation and bloating.

One user said: "The rudeness in here, yikes."

Another added: "This thread is a reminder that it’s women who tear each other down."

But the former Disney star has refused to let the savage words of people on Twitter get her down.

"I’m a little bit big right now because I enjoyed myself during the holidays," she said during a Facebook Live with her sister Gracie Elliott Teefey.

The pair burst out laughing, with Gomez adding: "But we don’t care."

The cruel comments on her weight and outfit came roughly one week after she returned to social media.

She revealed last April that she would take a step back from social media as the barrage of cruel japes about her size were becoming too much.

"I felt like my thoughts and everything I was consuming revolved around a million different other people in the world saying good things and bad things," she told Women's Wear Daily.

The singer took to Instagram with her little sister.

"And I just thought, 'Why would I — I don't get anything from it. Nothing is giving me life'. And I just snapped, and I was over it."

She added: "I'm completely unaware of, actually, what's going on in pop culture, and that makes me really happy.

"And maybe that doesn't make everybody else happy, but for me, it's really saved my life."

This isn't the first time Gomez has hit out at those who think it is appropriate to comment on her body.

Last year, the 'Lose Me To Love You' singer slammed those who keep talking about her size.

She said being 'skinny' wasn’t worth missing out on her favorite foods for 'people [to] b**ch about [her weight] anyway'.

She added: "B**ch, I am perfect the way I am."
