Nicole Kidman has been praised by fans for showing her ‘insanely ripped’ arms in a new cover shoot for Perfect magazine.

The actress, 55, looks incredible in a Diesel mini skirt and halter-neck crop top as she poses standing with her arms flexed for the images.

The Oscar winner complemented her fashion forward ensemble by styling her copper-coloured hair straight with the help of long extensions.

The photo is one of a series of snaps taken by Zhong Lin for the third issue of newly launched publication Perfect magazine, which hails Kidman as 'the perfect icon'.

Since the shoot has been released, fans have been praising the Big Little Lies star’s physique on social media.

One tweeted: "Nicole Kidman looks so good on that Perfect mag cover."

"Those biceps!! Absolutely stunning!!” another commented on Instagram. "Are they real!!!! Wow!!!"

A fourth added: "She is the moment,” while another described her as a 'ripped icon'.

Some fans even remarked that someone needs to sign her up to a sci-fi feature film, a fan penned: "I need to see her in a MAJOR Sci fi film now!"

Kidman’s latest fashion moment comes weeks after she joined Naomi Campbell, Dua Lipa, Kim Kardashian and Bella Hadid on the runway for Balenciaga’s couture show in July.

Earlier this year, The Hours star went viral when her outfit on the cover of Vanity Fair caught the attention of fans.

Kidman pushed the style boundaries in a daring Miu-Miu micro mini and matching bra top and while many loved her fashion moment, she faced some heat for the look with some claiming the photoshoot was 'too raunchy for a woman of Nicole's age and professional stature'.

Kidman addressed the controversy in June during a new conversation with director Baz Luhrmann published by Vogue Australia, in which the director said he 'loved' the cover.

In response, the actor revealed she had specifically requested to wear the matching Miu Miu outfit, saying: "I showed up and they had another outfit for me and I was like, ‘No, no, I like this one! Am I allowed to wear that?’

"And [the stylist] Katie Grand, who’s just fantastic, was on Zoom, and Katie was like "You're willing to wear that?!’ And I said, ‘Wear it?! I’m begging you to let me wear it!’"

Kidman went on to admit she later had second thoughts about the cover, but quickly got over her doubts and focused on being true to herself.

She commented: "I mean, I did walk away when I shot Vanity Fair thinking, ‘What was I thinking?! That was ridiculous! What were you doing, Nicole?!’ And then I went, ‘Eh, oh well!’... 'I’m just going to do what I want to do, ultimately!’"

Kidman explained she wanted to 'just have some fun' alongside committing to her projects when she takes them on.

"There’s got to be some fun. And sometimes it’s going to work, and sometimes it isn’t. But I love the idea of being bold and not fitting into a box," she explained.
