Travis Kelce’s reaction to Taylor Swift getting booed at the Super Bowl finally 'revealed'

An insider close to Travis Kelce has revealed how the Kansas City Chiefs tight-end felt when Taylor Swift was hit with a wave of boos at Super Bowl LIX.

Swift traveled to New Orleans to support Kelce's team as they went up against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday (February 9), though her cheers unfortunately weren't enough to help the Chiefs to victory and they ended up losing 22-40.

It was a result that left Kelce looking devastated after the game, but that apparently wasn't the only time the NFL star was left feeling unhappy during this year's Super Bowl.

Earlier in the night, Swift caught the attention of the crowd when she appeared on the Super Bowl's Jumbotron. She wasn't even looking at the camera when it cut to her, which left her confused when the crowd suddenly started booing.

The response left Swift asking 'What's going on?', though Kelce apparently had a more intense reaction to the situation.

An insider spoke to the Mail Online about how Kelce felt about the boos, saying: "Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him.

"He always protects her and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn't help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this."

The insider went on to claim that some Eagles fans consider Swift to be a 'traitor', after she previously dressed in Eagles merchandise before she and Kelce started dating.

The singer has also received backlash for the attention she's received at football games while trying to support Kelce and his team.

Even President Donald Trump has weighed in, as he wrote on Truth Social after the game: "The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!"

Referencing Trump's comment, the source continued: "Travis believes that it was unnecessary for Trump to take a dig at her especially after he voiced that he was honored for a president to be there.

"After Taylor being shut out for a Grammy and Travis losing the biggest game of the year it just hasn’t been a good week for them.

"But he knows that even though this is not a happy ending to the season having her love gives him so much joy."
