While we are still more than a year away from the 2024 US Election, the race is already heating up.

The candidates who want to lead the Republican party to victory have started debating about why they believe they are the best person to become President.

However, there was a noticeable absentee from those debates: Donald Trump.

He is still a strong contender to win the Republican primary and he's up against some stiff competition.

One of his former staffers has revealed the only person who they believe could beat Trump at the ballot box.

Before that, she was a special assistant to then-President Trump and press secretary for then-Vice President Mike Pence from October 2017 to September 2019.

Farah Griffin then got a job as press secretary for the Department of Defense and director of media affairs.

During an episode of The View: Behind the Table podcast, the conversation rounded on Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce's rumored romance.

“I had to hold back how excited I was about this topic to not off-put other people at the table,” Farah Griffin said.

“It may be a fling, it may be any sort of thing, but she’s always dated actors or musicians who kind of fit the same bill.

"Dating a pro athlete is totally different and I think, because she’s not always had success in love, going for something outside of the box makes sense.”

And this is when the conversation got political.

“This ends in one way," she said.

"We are all Taylor Swift fans and, to be honest, if Donald Trump looks like he’s going to win, she’s just going to need to get in the race and defeat him once and for all because she’s probably the only person who can.”

It's a fairly bold suggestion.

Considering Swift is touring all through next year up until the November election, it would be hard to imagine she would be able to campaign.

However, she could just turn every concert into a campaign rally, where should would get to preach at tens of thousands of people for three hours.

Fans on social media have pointed out that she would be 35 years old by the time inauguration rolls round in 2025, which is the minimum age required to be US President.

She would be up against the likes of Joe Biden, Marianne Williamson and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for the Democratic primary.
