Stephen Baldwin has broken his silence on his daughter Hailey Bieber’s life and success, after she previously suggested things weren’t exactly smooth between her and her famous family.
The 59-year-old actor, who is best known for his roles in films like The Usual Suspects, rarely speaks publicly about his 28-year-old daughter. But appearing on Tori Spelling’s podcast MisSPELLING this week, he couldn’t hold back his admiration for the model and businesswoman.
He said: “I never talk about her, but my daughter has done the impossible, relatively.”
“But in this day and age, in the last 10 years, it’s not impossible. It’s happened.”

Hailey, who runs the hugely popular makeup and skincare brand Rhode, has seen the company become a massive commercial success. Baldwin admitted he’s been impressed by her ability to thrive in today’s internet-driven world, even if he wasn’t totally convinced by how money is made online nowadays.
He added: “It’s like these kinds of successes are happening.”
“And young people are making unbelievable amounts of money on the Internet in ways that are very sketchy.”

He then signed off with a simple blessing for his youngest daughter: “So, God bless her.”
Alongside Hailey, Baldwin also shares her older sister, 32-year-old Alaia, with his wife Kennya. His words of praise come not long after Hailey opened up about some tension between herself and her family.
Speaking to W magazine in July 2024, she admitted: “I’m not super close with my family at this point in my life because I feel like I’m very independent. I’m my own individual now, and I’ve built my own family.”
Despite that, she explained that her childhood had still been filled with good memories, saying: “But when I look back on my childhood and how I grew up, I have very fond, beautiful memories”.

“Obviously, I come from the family that I come from, and I always recognized that that was different.”
After that interview, Baldwin posted a cryptic video on his Instagram that many thought was directed at Hailey. In the short clip, he stared into the camera, smirked slightly, and simply said: “I love you,” before looking away and then back again with another smirk.
It’s not the first time Baldwin has spoken warmly about his children’s lives. Just a couple of months ago, in July, he also gave a shout-out to his son-in-law, Justin Bieber. With rumours swirling about a possible split between Justin and Hailey, Baldwin said in an episode of The Adam Carolla Show on YouTube, he felt 'blessed' because both of his daughters had 'married two great guys', from around the 49:10 mark.

For someone who tends to keep his cards close to his chest, Baldwin’s latest comments mark a rare glimpse into how he feels about Hailey’s achievements, even in the wake of her own hints at a family rift.
