Hailey Bieber addresses claims she reposted video about 'abusive' relationships

Hailey Bieber is addressing claims she reposted a video about ‘abuse’ in her relationship with Justin Bieber.

The Rhode Skin founder, 29, and her husband, 31, have been married since 2018. They share one child, 16-month-old Jack Blues Bieber.

Rumors have swirled particularly in the last few months among fans online who believe there is trouble brewing in the marriage, however both Hailey and Justin have held a united front.

Over the weekend however, several TikTok users shared alleged proof that Hailey reposted a video analyzing ‘abusive’ celebrity couples. This spread online on Saturday, January 10, and Hailey quickly addressed the controversy since the clip mentioned her and the ‘Peaches’ singer.

In an Instagram Story post shared the same day to her 55 million followers, the businesswoman snapped a picture of a delicious-looking drink and wrote in the caption: “Hey! I know you guys who live on the internet are really bored, but I didn’t repost any video speaking on my relationship. Have a beautiful Saturday!”

The video Hailey seems to be referencing in the post includes an analysis of celebrity couples that the user says are romanticized because the woman ‘tolerates mediocrity, abuse, doing the majority of domestic and emotional labor in exchange for being in a relationship’.

It is unclear how this social media user would be able to find information like this from celebrity couples, especially those who are notoriously private.

However, according to People, the social media user claimed in the clip: “There is no better example than Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber.”

The creator went on to say the Biebers have stayed together only because Hailey 'will tolerate that abuse'.

Hailey has consistently shut down rumors about her relationship with Justin. In May last year, in a Vogue profile published in May, she was asked about whether she believed the online drama surrounding her relationship would soon end, to which she said: “Well, I thought seven years in, it would’ve already, and it hasn’t.”

She added: “You would think after having a child, people would maybe move on, chill out a little bit. But no.”

This came after Justin caused concern when he revealed the disagreement he had with his wife about whether she would ever appear on the front cover of Vogue.

Earlier this year, fans were also sent into overdrive about their relationship when Hailey commented ‘Father’s Day Sucks a**’ on a post Justin made to commemorate his first Father’s Day as a dad.

While many realized it was a joke between the couple, some seemingly missed the memo and thought there was drama.

However, the pair appear to be going strong. The model shared the post on November 6, featuring snaps showing her on a beach with a group of friends, seemingly to celebrate Kendall Jenner’s 30th birthday.

Hailey wrote ‘hell yeah’ in the caption, whereas Justin was a little more explicit in his comment.

He simply wrote: "Oh my f**kin god," and got a barrage of likes from Hailey’s fans for his stunned reaction to her photos.
