Sacha Baron Cohen shared a heartfelt message about his ex-wife Isla Fisher in a recent Instagram post, almost three years on from their shock split.
Fisher and Baron Cohen first crossed paths at a party in Sydney in 2001, several years before they both gained international fame in the movies Borat and Wedding Crashers respectively.
The actors had been in a relationship for more than two decades and married for around 13, sharing three children together; daughters Olive and Elula, and son Montgomery.
But back in 2024, the Now You See Me star took to Instagram to confirm the pair had officially filed for divorce.

Posting a photo of the pair sporting tennis outfits, she wrote: “After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage.”
The statement continued: "We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change.

"We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy."
Fisher has since described the divorce as ‘the most difficult thing' she's 'been through’, but it appears the pair still have a strong relationship as Baron Cohen wished Fisher well on her 50th birthday.
In a sweet Instagram Story, Baron Cohen posted a photo of Fisher and wrote: "Happy birthday to the funniest, most joyful person, a brilliant talent, and a fantastic mum.
"May the next decade be even better.”

Fisher reshared the thoughtful post to her own Instagram story, along with other messages from friends, family and fans.
Back in November, Fisher reflected on the divorce with Elle Decoration.
On starting over, she said: “Trying to create a new life from a grassroots level, at least emotionally, has been challenging, but deeply rewarding.”
She further revealed she'd bought her own place in London, UK, admitting: "When [all the furniture] arrived, I did have a bit of a cry because this was my first time as a single woman, being in a home of my own.”

And while talking to the Australian, the actress revealed what's in store for her future.
“I’ve got time to discover what inspires me creatively, so it’s been an amazing and lucky thing," she said.
“For most parents, we focus on our kids and it’s so divine and magical and so absorbing, but now I have some time where the kids aren’t with me, so I get some time to think about what the future might hold for me. Which is exciting and also scary.”
