Officials have revealed the cause of death of actor Peter Greene.
Two months have passed since the Pulp Fiction star was found dead in his New York City apartment, on Friday, December 12.
The actor’s death was first reported after a wellness check was conducted at Greene’s home after Christmas music was heard playing non-stop for several days, according to the incident report.
In a statement provided to NBC News confirming Greene’s death, his manager Gregg Edwards said he had spoken with the actor earlier in the week.

In tribute to Greene, Edwards shared: “Nobody played a bad guy better than Peter. But he also had, you know, a gentle side that most people never saw, and a heart as big as gold.”
Several weeks after the actor’s death, the New York Chief Medical Examiner office said Wednesday, February 18 that Green died aged 60 of a ‘gunshot wound of left axilla with injury of brachial artery’.
The axilla is the armpit.

Green was born in Montclair, New Jersey, and made his acting debut in a 1990 episode of the NBC crime drama series Hardball.
He went on to become a character actor, known for portraying villains. His most well known role was in the 1994 film The Mask starring Jim Carrey, in which Greene portrayed the main antagonist, Dorian Tyrell.
Greene also acted in Pulp Fiction in 1994 as Zed, a security guard with sadistic tendencies.

He went on to have roles in the films The Usual Suspects, Training Day and had recurring roles in the TV series Chicago P.D. and For Life. He was a series regular on the NBC drama series The Black Donnellys and was a recurring star on ABC’s series Life on Mars.
Fans paid tribute to Peter Greene last year, with many praising his remarkable talent for bringing complex and unforgettable villains to life.
One fan shared: “He played some of my favorite villains.”
While a fan on Reddit said: “I still remember him as the villain from The Mask. He was fantastic in that and somehow managed to hold his own opposite Jim Carrey at Peak Carrey. Never could figure out why his career didn’t massively take off.”
