South Korean singer Park Bom sparked concern and confusion after allegedly attempting to sue the CEO of her former band's management company.

Now, the singer's talent agency has publicly addressed her claims.

Bom, ex-member of the recently-reunited K-pop band 2NE1, took to social media this week to share the supposed details of what appeared to be a lawsuit against Yang Hyun-suk, founder of YG Entertainment.

The music management company looks after Blackpink, one of the most successful female K-pop groups, as well as 2NE1.

Bom posted a photo of a sheet of paper to Instagram which appeared to list herself as plaintiff and Hyun-suk as defendant.

It claimed she was suing Hyun-suk for 64,272,000,000,000,000 won.

For context, South Korea's GDP is valued at just 2.61 quadrillion won in comparison, equivalent to $1.87 trillion.

The document listed the figure as '100,200,300,400,600,700,100,000,34 '642,72e trillion won' (approximately $4.5 quadrillion), however.

Bom also accused Hyun-suk of 'fraud and embezzlement,' claiming in the document she was owed 'profits that should have been rightfully paid... for a long period of time'.

The post has since been deleted, while Bom's agency, D-Nation, has issued a statement on the incident.

Posting to Instagram, D-Nation said: "The settlement related to Park Bom’s 2NE1 activities has already been completed, and the complaint uploaded on social media has not been received. Park Bom has suspended all activities and is currently focusing on treatment and recovery.

"Our company will do its best to help the artist regain her health."

UNILAD has contacted YG Entertainment for comment.

It comes as 2NE1 reunited under YG Entertainment last year in celebration of their 15th anniversary.

The group - famed for their addictive blend of hip-hop, reggae and electronic music - had disbanded in 2016.

All four of the band's original members - Lee Chae-rin (CL), Sandara Park, Gong Min-ji (Minzy) and Bom - came together for the Welcome Back Tour, which ran between October 2024 and April 2025.

This August, however, D-Nation broke the news that Bom would no longer be participating in any of 2NE1's future performances on the advice of 'medical staff' who determined Bom needed 'sufficient rest and stability'.

Assembled by YG Entertainment in 2009, 2NE1 appeared on BigBang's 'Lollipop' before making their debut that May with breakout hit 'Fire'.

By the end of 2014, 2NE1 had clocked up nine number one hits on South Korea’s Gaon Digital Chart, making them the girl group with the most chart-topping songs at the time.

But the group parted ways after Minzy left, releasing final single 'Goodbye' in 2017.

In 2022, the group reunited for a surprise performance at Coachella before reuniting for good last year.
