North West, 12, reveals 'dangerous' new look after Kim Kardashian responded to criticism

North West has been warned of the potential dangers of her piercings after sharing her new look on social media.

The 12-year-old has previously faced criticism for some of her aesthetics, with many people voicing their opinions. Last month, her mom Kim Kardashian, addressed the backlash that both she and her daughter received when North revealed fake face tattoos and a diamond shark tooth grill on social media.

During an appearance on sister Khloe Kardashian’s podcast, Khloe in Wonder Land, Kim made it clear that she wanted her daughter to ‘express herself’.

She said: “I'm just not a judgmental person like that, so I try not to pay attention to it.

“But I think no one knows unless they're in my shoes what I'm dealing with and how we have to manage certain things from the outside world or even close in our life, that we have to go through together.”

Now, people are concerned once again as North shared a video on Friday on TikTok showing off her hand piercings while promoting her new song, 'piercing on my hand'.

While it isn’t clear whether they are real or fake, some people have warned that issues can arise and the piercings can be dangerous.

One TikTok user said: “Eventually she’ll have to let the piercings go. The placement is high risk for infection and they won’t heal.”

Another user wrote: “This is what happens when you need to be your child’s best friend and not a rational adult.”

With a third writing: “This is absolutely absurd. She is a child.”

Some others defended North and Kim, arguing that she was simply expressing herself and her creativity.

While on the podcast, Kim also addressed what she called a ‘misconception’ people have about her relationship with her daughter; that she treats her as a bestie rather than a daughter with rules.

She continued: “No, Northie actually has a lot of rules. The one area is that I do let her express herself, and I do let her do that, I love her for that. She would do it regardless.”

Speaking about her daughter's blue hair and fake piercings, Kim added: “I have pictures of her in first grade where she'd come with like a fake septum ring, and she has her green braids and pink braids.

“She's always loved the colored braids, she really is who she is and always has been that girl, and so I nurture her."
