Kim Kardashian has spoken out about the criticism of her eldest daughter, North West, after she was trolled online over her style.
Appearing on sister Khloé Kardashian's podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, Kim addressed the backlash North, 12, had faced over her 'face tattoos'.
North has been trying out some new looks recently, and not everyone has been so supportive online. For example, last year, North showed off some diamond shark-tooth grills on social media.
Then in November, she appeared online with fake face tattoos, as well as what looked like a piercing on her finger.

A lot of people expressed concerns about the dermal piercing, but whoever runs the Kim and North TikTok page addressed the complaints in the comments.
Now, Kim has spoken out about allowing her daughter to 'express herself' and trying not to pay attention to the noise online.

"I'm just not a judgmental person like that, so I try not to pay attention to it," Kim said. "But I think no one knows unless they're in my shoes what I'm dealing with and how we have to manage certain things from the outside world or even close in our life, that we have to go through together."
The reality TV star said that 'one misconception' she thinks people have about her and her daughter's relationship is that 'she's trying to be her bestie and lets her get away with a lot'.
"No, Northie actually has a lot of rules. The one area is that I do let her express herself, and I do let her do that, I love her for that. She would do it regardless," she added.
Kim also spoke about people talking about North's blue hair and the fake piercings, adding: "I have pictures of her in first grade where she'd come with like a fake septum ring, and she has her green braids and pink braids.

"She's always loved the coloured braids, she really is who she is and always has been that girl, and so I nurture her."
Kim went on to explain that North is homeschooled and revealed she's very involved in North's curriculum.
"A lot of it is me helping her do a lot of the teachings, but we do a lot of realistic courses," she said.
"Math, we'll give budgets, and we'll go around and get stuff... she has a brand-building class... fully interactive learning... and so she had an idea of making hats and jewellery, so we made it a course.
"She has to do the web design, she has to do the budgeting, she has to go to the stores and get materials and sewing and do fashion courses.
"... It's a full-time job, even for me and her teacher."
The All's Fair star has previously defended her daughter's appearance before, like in TikTok comments. She has also previously praised North's confidence, telling Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper that she is 'mature in one sense' because she doesn't let comments bother her.
