If there is one person on this planet that can keep Kim Kardashian humble, it might just be her 12-year-old daughter North West.
The strong-minded tween has a history of not holding back when she thinks her fashionista mother's sense of style is out of whack, previously slamming a variety of Kim's Met Gala appearances, describing her 2021 outfit as being like 'a plastic bag'.
Kim's daughter with Kanye 'Ye' West kept up this tradition on the latest instalment of The Kardashians, which goes behind the scenes of this year's Gala to show the last-minute prep that went into the 45-year-old SKIMS founder's outfit.
With her mom fretting at the last minute about her tight-fitting black leather dress, North clearly loses her patience and, attempts, to reassure Kim with some harsh words.

"What's the worst that could happen? People hate on your outfit? They do that every year," the forthright 12-year-old said, perhaps unhelpfully.

But with her sharp words also came some encouragement for her mom, with North also presenting Kim with a surprise bouquet of flowers.
Clearly, North knows her mom's mind well, with Kim exclaiming: "Oh, my gosh! Where did you get these?"

Then, in a precious mother-daughter moment, she added: "You know what? This made my day."
Flipping their roles, North then took command of the situation and told a fretting Kim 'you just have to go—that's it,' while giving her mom a big hug for reassurance.
Fans got to see the moment of tough love from North as part of a flashback on the show, after Kim recalled to an off-screen producer: “Last night, North came in my room. She gave me the cutest little balloon that says, ‘Good Luck,’ and some flowers.”
She did not mention North's comment about people's 'hate' for her past ensembles.

Ultimately, the 12-year-old's pearls of wisdom worked, and Kim walked up the steps in her skin-tight haute couture cowboy outfit. In the end, the look needed a last-minute drastic cut from her stylists, which kept them up until 3am making alterations, largely to the black leather corset.
"We ended up cutting it up - the dress - in two pieces," the business mogul told the cameras.
While at the Met Gala this year, Kim even told Vogue that North is a 'big critiquer' of her mom's often scantily clad outfits, before adding that she is getting 'pretty good' at delivering her cutting words.

Which is probably a good thing for her mom's confidence, as in 2023 she said Kim's outfit looked like it came from 'a dollar store' and 'looks like she’s a Hawaiian girl with her dress all ripped.'
At the time, Kim told the cameras: "You can't really take it seriously, getting roasted by a 10-year-old," before adding, 'I never do, but it stings a little.'
