Meghan Trainor has once again weighed in on the controversial mom group drama brought to public attention by Ashley Tisdale in a candid essay for The Cut.
Taking to TikTok on January 12, Trainor, 32, shared a lip-sync video in which she mimed out a scene from season 5 of Stranger Things, which say Holly Wheeler attempting to convince her friends that Mr.Whatsit was actually a monster.
"Come on you have to believe me! Please, you have to believe me, you have to believe me," the audio says.
"Me still trying to convince everyone I'm not involved in the mom group drama," the singer wrote on the video. "I swear I'm innocent," she added in the caption.

The drama all started earlier this month, when High School Musical alum Tisdale set the internet on fire following the release of an essay she penned for The Cut titled 'Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group' - an article where she spoke about being 'frozen out' of a group of moms she was supposedly friends with.
Published on January 1, part of the tell-all essay explained that Tisdale, who is a mom-of-two, started noticing that the group she was part of started doing things without her.
"I was starting to feel frozen out of the group, noticing every way that they seemed to exclude me," Tisdale wrote.

"At first, I tried not to take things personally. It’s not like people aren’t allowed to get together without me — and maybe there were perfectly good reasons that I hadn’t been invited. We were all busy, life was hectic. I told myself it was all in my head and it wasn’t a big deal."
Although the identities of the moms in the group were never explicitly stated, online sleuths are convinced that the group referred to Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor, and Mandy Moore.
But Tisdale's reps denied these claims in a statement, saying that 'there’s zero truth to what online "detectives" think they’ve cracked' and her essay was actually about a 'completely different group of friends'.

Yet despite apparently not being part of the group, it hasn't stopped Trainor from commenting on the situation, with her first response coming last week, when she took to TikTok to share a video in which she seemingly scoured the internet alongside the caption: “Me finding out about the apparent mom group drama.”
She had her new song 'Still Don't Care' playing in the background of the TikTok, which has now been viewed over 2,000,000 times.
In addition, Hillary Duff's husband also broke his silence surrounding the controversial essay, as he threw some serious shade at Tisdale for sharing her experience.
Duff's 38-year-old husband Matthew Koma took to Instagram to share a photoshopped picture of him placed on top of The Cut's feature image of Tisdale.

Writing over the image, he blasted: "A Mom Group Tell All Through A Father's Eyes.
"When You're The Most Self Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers."
He rounded the spoof off with the caption: "Read my interview with @thecut."
