Meghan Trainor has addressed the 'toxic' mom group rumors following comments made by Ashley Tisdale.

High School Musical alum Tisdale recently set the internet on fire following the release of an essay she penned for The Cut titled 'Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group', where she spoke about being 'frozen out' of a group of moms she was supposedly friends with.

Published on January 1, part of the tell-all essay explained that Tisdale, who is a mom-of-two, started noticing that the group she was part of started doing things without her.

"I was starting to feel frozen out of the group, noticing every way that they seemed to exclude me," Tisdale wrote.

"At first, I tried not to take things personally. It’s not like people aren’t allowed to get together without me — and maybe there were perfectly good reasons that I hadn’t been invited. We were all busy, life was hectic. I told myself it was all in my head and it wasn’t a big deal."

Some speculated that Tisdale's essay was about a group of moms with some very famous faces in it, but her reps denied it (@hilaryduff/Instagram)

It wasn't long until online investigators began to try to work out who was part of the group in question, and many suggested that the likes of Hilary Duff, Meghan Trainor, and Mandy Moore were in it.

But Tisdale's reps denied these claims in a statement, saying that 'there’s zero truth to what online "detectives" think they’ve cracked' and her essay was actually about a 'completely different group of friends'.

Adding fuel to the fire, Duff's husband Matthew Koma made a savage dig at Tisdale's piece for The Cut and posed in a photo that was similar to the cover.

Over the image, he wrote: "When You're The Most Self Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers." Yikes.

Now 'All About That Bass' hitmaker Trainor has responded to the drama on TikTok. In a video of her seemingly scouring the internet, Trainor captioned the clip 'me finding out about the apparent mom group drama'.

She had her new song 'Still Don't Care' playing in the background of the TikTok, which has now been viewed over 2,000,000 times.

The video has left people divided. One person commented: "This proves Ashley’s point."

Another added: "This reaction, Hilarys hubby's reaction & Mandy's reaction is giving high school. Ashley was right."

"Oh… i think you just proved her point," echoed someone else. A different user agreed: "Well this backfired, we believe Ashley now."

While many argued that the short clip 'proved' Tisdale's point, others defended Trainor.

"Why is everyone dissing. Ashley made it public. They have a right to defend themselves," somebody argued.

A second said: "No this shows me that Meghan just doesn’t care about drama and wants no part of it. Doesn’t show me who is right or wrong."

UNILAD has approached Tranior's rep for comment.
