Hilary Duff has filmed herself singing a suggestive song and dancing in a field, apparently carefree despite the drama swirling around Ashley Tisdale's viral essay.
High School Musical actress, Ashley Tisdale stirred the pot this week by writing about how she had 'broke up' with a moms' friendship group after it 'stopped being healthy and positive'.
Tisdale, who announced in November that she now goes by her husband's surname, French, never named names in the essay, but that hasn't stopped people from guessing.
This group allegedly contained several other celebrity moms, including the former Lizzie McGuire actor, Hilary Duff - as well as the singers Meghan Trainor and Mandy Moore, according to People. This has led to fans speculating about a rift and even a sharp response from Duff's husband on social media.

The 38-year-old actress and singer seemed unconcerned by the gossip as she sang along to the sexually explicit lyrics of a song, presumably from her upcoming album Luck... or Something.

French's representatives have denied that she was talking about her fellow famous moms, who are in the chat, though that was not made explicit when she wrote the essay for The Cut.
Duff wore a light yellow dress for her suggestive song preview, which she dropped on Wednesday (January 7), as the essay from French was blowing up online. The new track details the passionate throes at the start of a relationship, with the mom-of-two saying, 'I only want the beginning.'
Showing that she's gone far from her Disney Channel days, Duff then makes an explicit confession, singing: "I want the part where you say goddamn/Back of a dive bar giving you head/Then sneak home late, wake up your roommates."
The short clip then continues this explicit theme, while also talking about a relationship that has started to go cold between the sheets.
If the mom group drama is playing on her mind, the actress doesn't let it show in the suggestive social media post. In another sexual line, Duff sings: “I’m touching myself by the front door/But you don’t even look my way no more.”
Her nonchalant post is a marked contrast from her husband's response to the situation. Making direct reference to French's article, Matthew Kooma shared an altered version of her essay, with an altered picture of him on The Cut's front cover.
He titled the story 'A mom group tell all through a father’s eyes: When You’re the Most Self-Obsessed Tone Deaf Person on Earth, Other Moms Tend to Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers'.
Many of the different members of the celeb-packed moms' group have spoken about their valued friendship over the years, including Duff herself who shared with People back in 2024: "They were little baby worms when we all first got together and started music class at my house.
"Now, we're in art class together, and we're in gymnastics class together, and we're just, like, moms."
"Everybody's super hardworking," she added. "Sometimes we're all showing up with hair and makeup rushing from a job, and sometimes we look like literal trash, so it's just nice to be in the trenches with them."
