After Ashley Tisdale fired shots at her 'toxic' mom group, Hilary Duff's husband has hit back at the Disney star.

In an article for The Cut, the High School Musical actor shared how she 'broke up' with her friends after realizing it wasn't the 'right group' for her.

The revelation came after the mom-of-two, who now goes by Ashley French after taking her husband Christopher's last name, had become aware that she had been excluded from gatherings, leaving her to feel that the 'group dynamic stopped being healthy and positive - for me, anyway'.

While the 40-year-old never specifically mentioned any of the moms in the circle that she left, the Daily Mail reported that French had unfollowed Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore on social media, which has led to speculation by fans.

Although, a rep for The Suite Life of Zack & Cody star explained to TMZ that the essay wasn't about Duff or Moore, or even Meghan Trainor, who had also been mentioned in the Mail's article.

Despite the clarity, Duff's 38-year-old husband Matthew Koma has since roasted French online with savage message.

Koma, who shares three kids with his 38-year-old wife, took to Instagram to share a photoshopped picture of him placed on top of The Cut's feature image of French.

Writing over the image, he blasted: "A Mom Group Tell All Through A Father's Eyes.

"When You're The Most Self Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers."

He rounded the spoof off with the caption: "Read my interview with @thecut."

After it got shared to Reddit, fans were stunned to see Duff's husband was getting involved in the drama.

"Is this dude running it why's he so hurt," one user wrote.

While a second came to the defense of French, as they stated: "Yeah wtf, all she said was if your friends leave you out, find new friends. Pretty solid advice."

"Tisdale literally said nothing identifying, she didn’t even mention that it was a group of famous/hollywood moms, and this guy comes out guns blazing? I think it’s safe to start making assumptions here…" another penned.

While a fourth added: "This guy isn’t very smart. Thanks to him, the internet trolls are going to look through Hillary’s Instagram to try to piece together who else is part of this mom group. Ashley tried to keep their identifies private and this fool just exposed them all by acting like a petty child."

Others were firmly on Koma's side and praised him for seemingly defending his partner.

"This is such a good reaction pic though, 10/10", one wrote.

"Love it when men stand up for their wifes", another said.
