Hilary Duff has finally spoken out on the 'toxic mom group' scandal after it rocked the internet.
The scandal erupted after Ashley Tisdale published an essay in The Cut where she opened up about leaving a 'toxic' celebrity mom group.
In the piece, she spoke about feeling 'frozen out' and 'excluded' from the group.
Tisdale did not name any names in her essay, leaving the identities of the group involved open to speculation.

And speculation did indeed erupt, as Tisdale had previously been often pictured with Duff, Mandy Moore, and Meghan Trainor.
Duff's husband has also previously posted on social media in her defence, with the star saying that he had made her laugh.
Now, Duff has finally spoken out on the topic in an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.

Describing her initial reaction to the topic, she said: “I felt really sad. I honestly felt really sad. I was, like, pretty, pretty taken aback and felt just, like, sad.”
She added: “So I think I just was like, ‘Woah'. It sucks to read something that's, like, not true. And it sucks on behalf of, like, six women in all of their lives.”
Duff went on to describe how Tisdale's piece 'came at the craziest time where I was like, the timing felt not great and I felt used.'
“I have so many groups of friends. I’m so lucky,” Duff said. “Motherhood has brought on like, I have my core group of friends who have been my ride or dies for 20 years, 10 to 20 years, and I have like tons of different groups of mom friends because I have four kids, you know?
“It sucks to read something that’s like not true, and it sucks on behalf of like six women in all of their lives.”
Duff's husband Matthew Koma had previously not pulled his punches on the matter.

Koma took to social media, doing his own version of the pose that Tisdale did in her article, as well as providing his own take on the headline.
He wrote: "When You're The Most Self Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers.”
Duff revealed that she didn't know that he had been about to make the post, but greeted it with good humor.
“Honestly, everything he does makes me laugh," she said. "So I was like, ‘Oh my God. Oh my God.’
"But I also don't censor him, and I don't tell him what he can and can't post. He is so, like, fierce for me, and, like, I love him for that.”
