Reality star Crystal Minkoff has opened up about the experiences she had in the alleged 'toxic' mom friend group.

Minkoff, who previously starred in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, opened up about the experience in an episode of her Humble Brag podcast on January 12.

In the explosive episode, she revealed that she had been friends with some of the famous people who were allegedly in this 'toxic' group of mom friends.

The 'toxic' description made headlines this month after a viral essay that Ashley Tisdale, now known as French, wrote for The Cut was published, and has since drawn a lot of attention.

Tisdale explained in the essay that she had 'broken up with my toxic mom group' after feeling like she was in high school again, claiming that after being left out of gatherings, she began to feel as though the group dynamic had 'stopped being positive'.

Scandal has erupted around the essay, with the High School Musical star unfollowing Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore on social media.

So, Minkoff shared her insight on the story to guest co-host Tracy Tutor.

She said: "I know, probably, 70 percent of the mom group because we all went to preschool together. We're all the same group. One went to the same high school as us."

The star added: "It's everywhere. Everyone's talking about it. I don't want to give too much tea about it because it's their personal stuff. I just found it really interesting."

She went on to reveal how she had previously posted online joking about the experience, recalling: "I posted on Threads the other day a joke, like, 'Oh, this is so 2021, I already went through this'."

She then elaborated: "What I found interesting is that Ashley's story was that she left the group, and my story is I didn't leave the group. I did the show, and they just said — I did a whole episode about this so it's not untold — they all went against me and dropped me."

This comes after Hilary Duff's 38-year-old husband, Matthew Koma, hit out at Tisdale online, posting a savage message.

Koma posted a photoshopped image of himself superimposed on top of The Cut's feature image of Tisdale.

In a caption over the picture, he fumed: "A Mom Group Tell All Through A Father's Eyes. When You're The Most Self Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers."

Several fans took to Reddit to share their thoughts on the post, with one writing: "Tisdale literally said nothing identifying, she didn’t even mention that it was a group of famous/hollywood moms, and this guy comes out guns blazing? I think it’s safe to start making assumptions here…"

And a second said: "This guy isn’t very smart. Thanks to him, the internet trolls are going to look through Hillary’s Instagram to try to piece together who else is part of this mom group.

"Ashley tried to keep their identifies private and this fool just exposed them all by acting like a petty child."

UNILAD previously contacted reps of Hillary Duff for comment.
