Hollywood is a surprisingly small town – apparently.
It turns out that long before Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian were a thing, the drummer set his sights on her older sister Kim.
The Blink 182 bandmate even revealed how he ‘kept on secretly checking her out’ during a trip in his 2015 memoir. (Awkward!)

It happened nearly a decade ago, while Barker was dating Paris Hilton.
As he toured with Blink 182, the heiress decided to join her rock ’n’ roll boyfriend in Amsterdam and brought Kardashian with her.
Recalling the reality star in his memoir, he wrote: “Kim used to organize people’s closets, and at the time, she was working as Paris’s closet girl…She would grab Paris’s bags, put them in the closet, unpack them, put everything where Paris could find it.”
Unsurprisingly, the group later decided to experience Amsterdam’s, um, bohemian culture and got ‘high as a kite at a coffee shop’.
The group then made their way to the Absinthe Bar, before going on to explore the city’s notorious red-light district.
It was then that Barker noticed Kardashian, later writing: “I kept on secretly checking out Kim, telling Lil Chris, ‘I don’t care if she’s the closet girl, she’s f**king hot.”
Elsewhere in the autobiography, the drummer also revealed that he’d previously spent time with the Skims founder.
The drummer revealed how he’d spent time with the TV personality, whilst having some ‘time off’ from second wife Shanna Moakler.
With Kardashian also having only just split from her first husband Ray-J, they spent increasing amounts of time together and started ‘hanging out’.
This included grabbing meals, swimming at his house and even watching the Fourth of July fireworks together.
He wrote: “You might think I would be doing the worst things with this girl because of her tapes, but it was the exact opposite of any other encounter I’ve had with a woman: with Kim, I wanted to be nothing but a gentleman to her…It was so weird.”
In 2015, he told Us Weekly: "I had a crush on her [Kim], and we were flirtatious, but nothing ever happened."
Sadly, the stars weren’t aligned for these A-Listers, and their friendship never escalated.
“Kim and I never touched each other,” he told fans, adding: “It just wasn’t meant to be.”
It’s just as well as the Blink 182 drummer would go on to marry and have a child with Kardashian’s sister, Kourtney.
During an episode of The Kardashians, Kim even said: “Kourtney has just been in this amazing relationship. It’s like first time I’ve seen her happy. I’m so happy for this win for her — she really deserves it.”
We guess the path to true love never did run smoothly.
