Jennifer Lopez has spoken out for the first time following her very public split from Ben Affleck.
The hitmaker wed Affleck in 2022, but after just two short years of marriage, Lopez filed for divorce.
There had been much speculation about the status of their relationship in the months running up to the confirmation of their break-up, as the celebrity pair had seldom been seen together for some time.

Lopez was the one of file the papers, notably without any legal presentation with her (something that was labeled as 'unheard of' for a celeb to do), and she cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for her and Affleck's split.
Lopez hadn't really addressed the breakdown of her marriage from her Batman star beau, but has since done an extremely candidly interview with comedian Nikki Glaser for Interview Magazine.
In their conversation, Lopez compared a marriage coming to an end to your house going up in flames.
She said: "When your whole house blows up, you’re standing there in the rubble going, 'How do I not ever let that happen again?'
"And then you start examining it little by little saying, 'OK, I did this, this was my part in it, this was what I should have seen early on, this is what I didn’t look at'. Those things are what really are the lessons."
Lopez was also asked if she has any regrets about the recent pain she's endured following her split from Affleck.
"Not one second," the mom-of-two shared. "That doesn’t mean it didn’t almost take me out for good. It almost did.
"But now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, 'F**k, that is exactly what I needed. Thank you, god. I’m sorry it took me so long. I’m sorry that you had to do this to me so many times. I should have learned it two or three times ago. I get it. You had to hit me really hard over the head with a f**king sledgehammer. You dropped the house on me. Don’t have to do it again.'"
While she now 'gets it', Lopez went on to note that this 'doesn’t mean I have everything figured out'.
The singer explained: "Now I’m excited, when you say you’re just going to be on your own. Yes, I’m not looking for anybody, because everything that I’ve done over the past 25, 30 years, being in these different challenging situations, what can I f**king do when it’s just me flying on my own."
