Jennifer Lawrence has reflected on some of her films and one of the most difficult A-listers to work with, and not for the reason you might expect.

Jennifer Lawrence has been around the block when it comes to her film catalogue, starring in massive variety of movies, definitely not an actress who is typically type cast.

In making so many different kinds of movies, she has obviously come across and worked with a whole host of different caliber actors.

Speaking about the hilariously bizarre dark comedy Don’t Look Up, she revealed the actor she found really hard working with.

For those that have forgotten, or somehow haven’t seen this sleeper hit, the Netflix film came to screens in 2021 and followed two astronomers who make a disturbing discovery.

That a comet, will soon strike the Earth and all life will be extinct, the kicker is that the powers that be aren’t taking it as seriously as they should and a film that would be a disaster flick in the hands of another director ends up being a zany comedy starring Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Timothée Chalamet.

But none of these actors are what made filming so difficult, according to Lawrence it was actually Jonah Hill, who also has a key role in the story.

Lawrence, who plays astronomer Kate Dibiasky in the flick, explained Hill’s character, Jason Orlean, is ‘the worst’ and it was really hard to not ‘ruin’ every take when filming with Hill.

In a 2023 interview with Vanity Fair, Lawrence noted Hill’s character is not only the president’s son, but ‘also the Chief-of-Staff'.

Lawrence said: "It was really, really hard filming with Jonah, and just not ruining take after take, laughing. We one time dedicated an entire day to him just improv-ing insults at me.

"It was amazing."

The star revealed many of Hill’s lines were unscripted, and explained she thinks Hill and ‘Meryl were the only ones who should do that kind of improv,’ despite all the cast getting involved.

"I mean, he’s [Hill's] a master, he's a comedic master. I mean we all did some [improv] just not as well as Jonah," Lawrence added.

More recently, Lawrence spoke about a co-star that she greatly enjoyed working with.

Speaking to V Magazine, Lawrence had ample praise for co star Robert Pattinson, who starred alongside her for the 2025 film, Die My Love.

Speaking about Pattinson, who plays her husband in the film, she said: “Rob brought so much more dimension to the film as a whole.

“He really held firm with this kind of backbone for his character which gave me so much more to push back against.

“I’ve never worked with an actor who was really in such a similar place as me in our lives, being new parents, which was so lovely and also built up natural trust.

“Rob is sensationally smart and really sweet. So it was fun. I enjoyed working with Rob immensely.”
