Jennifer Lawrence has spoken candidly about her career and personal life in a new interview, including a moment with a director that really peeved her off.
While people might fondly remember Lawrence for her breakout role in the Hunger Games franchise, she has pretty much cemented herself in Hollywood with subsequent projects.
Recently sitting down with Josh Horowitz, the actor opened up about her career as well as some fun personal anecdotes.
One answer she gave that stuck out was whether she was a cat or dog person.

The 35-year-old star said that she no longer had any dogs, as she gave them to her parents, after an incident where one of them bit her young son.
Half joking, Lawrence added: “After, I had a kid, my dogs become so scary.

“It’s almost like I don’t recognize dogs right now. Like, I just see them as a threat. One of them bit my son and that made just want to obliterate every dog. I was just like, ‘I’m gonna take you out, you and your f***ing family and your f***ing friends’.”

Lawrence referred back to this defensive stance when Horowitz asked what the ‘worst note a director has ever given you’ was.
After thinking about her answer, the Die My Love star stated she was working on a scene where she was attempting to do something subtle that the director wanted to bring much more attention to it, to her frustration.
She explained: “I didn’t respond well... I was doing something very subtle once and the director saw that I was doing it and asked me to... he was like ‘that is great, now reach out and’. He just wanted to explore the subtle thing and that just made me want to just... kill his dog.”
Despite Lawrence’s light-hearted tone, some people appeared to take issue with the animal comments, most notably for rehoming her dogs at her parent’s place.

Responding to the moment circulating on social media, one user commented: “I have twins and my dogs are family FOREVER. We are a pack together. A home full of love, respect, loyalty and time dedicated to all. DO BETTER JENNIFER.”
Another wrote: “What’s especially concerning is using a massive platform not only to normalize giving up a dog after a preventable incident, but to publicly speak so flippantly about obliterating dogs.”
However, some people came to the actor's defense.

One said: “As a professional dog trainer and nonprofit dog shelter founder, this comment section isn’t it. If she felt her dogs were unsafe around children, we should not be judging a mother and a decision she made for the safety of her children.”
While someone else added: “I love dogs [but] we see so many stories about dogs ‘loosing it’ and biting the children of the family. I will not take that risk.”
