Hollywood has seen a number of heated acting rivalries over the decades, with stars like Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, or Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, competing for top roles and coveted awards.
Another rivalry appears to be rumbling away in the wake of this week's nominations for the Screen Actor's Guild Awards, which saw a number of high-profile stars left out of the show, which is usually a good indicator for potential Oscar winners.
Jennifer Lawrence, 35, was one of the big names who failed to get a nomination for her powerful performance in Die My Love, while her long-time friend Emma Stone, 37, got the nod for Bugonia in the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor category.
While Stone's inbox was flooded by friends congratulating her success, one member of the group chat was just shocked. Lawrence shared in the aftermath of the SAG nominations that she gave gave the perfect tongue-in-cheek reply, simply texting back ‘WHAT!’ and dropping a sad face.

Lawrence, known for her wise-cracking humour, told 92NY that 'all her friends were like, "Congratulations Emma,"' while she was dropping sarcastic shade at her long-time friend and frequent rival for top roles.
That includes as the lead in a major film early in Emma Stone's award-winning career, 2010's Easy A. Lawrence revealed in a 2017 roundtable that she had been snubbed for the role of witty Olive Pendergast in favor of Stone.
"I wanted it so bad," Lawrence said, but Stone was also taking part, so she added: "Well, guess what? You didn't get it. You didn't get it because you suck!"

Her friend simply replied: "Outside."
In the years since, the pair have seen their careers as leading ladies explode and have grown into firm friends, so Lawrence knows she can rib Stone for the nomination.
She shared that she was even mocking Stone's success every time she spoke on Wednesday, saying: "Every time she tries to talk today, I'm like, 'Why are you not saying sorry?'"

They were first introduced early in their time in Hollywood by Woody Harrelson, who had starred with Lawrence in The Hunger Games and Stone in Zombieland.
"She texted me that she got my number from Woody. I replied, 'F--- off!' And we've been really good friends ever since," Lawrence said of how they first spoke in a 2016 Entertainment Weekly interview.
If Stone's lack of a nomination had fazed her, she did not show it in her 92NY phone call, where she added: "She's been beating me for decades, but it's an honor."
Both of them are currently up for major acting awards at the Golden Globes. The nominations are in separate categories, with Lawrence up for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a drama and Stone up for the same award in the musical or comedy bracket.

But Stone will have to wait until March 1 to find out if her performance in Bugonia will win her the top gong at prestigious SAG's new Actor Awards,
