Ben Affleck shared his hilarious response when his son asked him for some money to bet on sports.
Affleck is Hollywood royalty, but even he still has to deal with the usual parenting headaches.
The star has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: 19-year-old Violet Anne, 16-year-old Seraphina Rose, and 13-year-old Samuel. But it was his son who seemed to cause a bit of a stir with his famous father recently.
During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Good Will Hunting star spoke about how his father was an illegal bookie when he was growing up, which proved rather lucrative.

He noted that Bostonians would often root for the home teams (the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots), who were notoriously disappointing when he was growing up, according to Affleck.

"I remember our first washing machine, our first VCR, in fact, dad coming home like, ‘You can thank Steve Grogan for this," he said, adding that he was 'grateful that the Patriots were terrible; just thank Steve Grogan’s knees for our VCR'.
Kimmel then joked that kids today don’t know how hard their generation had it, prompting The Rip star to recall his reaction when his son asked for $100 to bet on sports.
He said: “In fact, my son asked me like a month ago, ‘Hey, um uh, can I get like 100 bucks to bet on sports?’ I was like ‘What!?’, he went, ‘my friends get like 100$ but if they lost it, that's it.”
Affleck explained he responded sarcastically, saying: "I went ‘Oh, that’s a real standard, what discipline.’ So you don’t come back twitching back saying ‘I know the Green Bay Packers are going to cover the over in the second half’."
Kimmel then asked if he asked him to 'call Grandpa', to which Affleck responded, while laughing: "I was like, 'There's a reason your grandfather is broke'."
It isn’t the first time Affleck has had a pretty grounded response to his son’s requests.

Last year, the Justice League star was praised for his reaction to his son asking for trainers that cost a whopping $6,000.
The father-son duo were out browsing trainers at a huge sneaker convention in Los Angeles when the then-13-year-old appeared to take a liking to a pair of Dior Air Jordan 1s.
A shopper made a joke that Affleck wouldn’t be happy with paying that much, and he made it clear that was the case with a cheeky quip.
He told his son, 'That's a lot of lawns you gotta mow there’, implying he would have to work off the luxury item.
Affleck went on to say that his son liked them only for the price tag, which led to a little back-and-forth between them.
