Ariana Grande is dating SpongeBob Squarepants.
That's a sentence I never thought I'd write!
According to sources close to the pair, Grande is apparently dating her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater, who also played SpongeBob in the SpongeBob Musical: Live on Stage!

One insider told ET Online: "Ariana and Ethan recently started dating. They have a lot in common and have a lot of fun.
"They didn't start dating until both were broken up with their significant others. Ariana and Dalton remain friends."
The pair met on the set of the Wicked movie and were photographed sitting close to each other when the cast went out to celebrate Michelle Yeoh's Oscar win in London in March.
Slater, 31, has set his Instagram account to private in the wake of the relationship becoming public.

The news of Grande's alleged new relationship comes shortly after it was confirmed the 30-year-old singer split from her husband of two years, Dalton Gomez, in January.
“They came to the decision together,” an insider told Page Six. “They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends.”
Gomez reportedly visited the 'Thank U, Next' singer on the set of Wicked in a last ditch attempt to save their marriage but it 'didn't work out'.
“They’ve been really good friends throughout the entire process, and their friends and families have been trying to protect them."

“Ariana and Dalton separated in January," another source confirmed to PEOPLE this week. "She and Ethan recently began dating."
"Ari has nothing but kind words to say about Dalton. During their marriage, he was her No. 1 fan," the source added.
According to TMZ, Grande and Slater started dating a few months ago after meeting on the set of Wicked.

Slater is also recently separated from his wife, singer Lilly Jay, with whom he shares a son.
Slater and Jay started dating in 2012 when they were in high school.
In 2018, they married and in January this year, Slater confirmed the pair had welcomed a son together by posting a photo of a onesie that said 'Wicked Cute'.
"Super vague post, but we have a baby now,” he captioned the post.

In November 2022, Slater posted a tribute to Jay on his Instagram for their 10-year anniversary.
“My best friend. 4 years married, 10 years together. And this is easily the best (and most *bizarre*) year yet,” he wrote.
