MrBeast has hit back at transphobic comments as he continues to defend his friend and long-time collaborator, Chris Tyson.

Tyson has been targeted by trolls after announcing they were undergoing hormone replacement therapy (HTR).

Since then, MrBeast and other cast mates have been trying to protect Tyson from the hateful comments circulating on social media.

Before the announcement, fans had already begun to speculate about Tyson’s gender. However, it wasn’t until one decided to share side-by-side images of the star on Twitter that Tyson addressed it.

In a mean-spirited tweet, the user wrote ‘WTF happened’ alongside the two pictures. However, Tyson proudly responded: “HRT, and it’s only been 2 months.”

Finally able to share their gender identity with the world, the digital creator gave a lengthy explanation about their decision to undergo HRT on their personal Twitter account.

They told fans: “Informed consent HRT saved my and many others' lives. The hurdles gnc [gender non-conforming] people have to jump through to get life-saving gender-affirming healthcare in a 1st world country is wild to me. Just let people make informed decisions about their own bodies.”

While most of their followers were delighted that they finally felt comfortable enough to share their story, Tyson has sadly been targeted by transphobes on various social media platforms.

Some have even suggested that Tyson's transition could result in the ‘end’ of the MrBeast channel.

In fact, video essayist SunnyV2 uploaded a nearly ten-minute-long YouTube video, discussing whether the announcement would be bad for the brand and implying that MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, was resentful of his friend’s decision.

It even labeled Tyson's transition as a ‘nightmare’ and discussed their life away from the channel, including their family.

Having been seen by over 2 million people on the platform, fans have blasted the video with many reacting angrily online.

One even argued against any further speculation about Tyson's transition, as they pointedly wrote: “This new sunnyv2 video feels really invasive for all the wrong reasons. Like why did u make this? U delved into the mans marriage and s**t, it's just really offputting and unnecessary.”

After seeing the tweet, MrBeast replied: “Yeah, this is getting absurd. Chris isn’t my 'nightmare' he’s my f****n friend and things are fine. All this transphobia is starting to p*ss me off.”
