Martha Stewart responds to rumours she's dating Pete Davidson

Many thought the two were becoming an item after high-profile split from Kim Kardashian.

Martha Stewart has put to bed rumours that she’s dating Pete Davidson, claiming he ‘is like the son I never had’.

Pete is back on the dating scene after his high-profile split from Kim Kardashian.

Now that he's free to play the field, many have been speculating who his next girlfriend will be and the domestic goddess herself, Martha Stewart's name has been thrown into the ring.

The rumours first began circulating when a photo of the two resurfaced.

The picture, captured in April, shows Pete posing with his then-girlfriend Kim Kardashian while holding hands with Martha Stewart at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner.

Many reacted to the unique pairing with one person writing: “Pete Davidson needs to be stopped.”

Another said: “IM HOWLING THAT'S SNOOP'S GIRL RIGHT THERE.”

A third person commented: “From homemaker to home wrecker.”

While another wrote: “If you follow Martha on Instagram you know this isn’t that far of a stretch.”

However, the 81-year-old instantly shut down the gossip, telling the Daily Mail: "Pete Davidson is like the son I never had."

She added: "He is a charming boy who is finding his way."

Earlier this month, Pete and Kim decided to call it quits after nine months of dating, which was confirmed by E! News on August 6.

Insiders revealed to the outlet that the former lovers still 'have a lot of love and respect for each other’ but conflicting schedules ‘made it really difficult to maintain a relationship’.

Following the very public breakup, Kanye West came for Pete, sharing a since-deleted mock-up cover of The New York Times, announcing ‘Skete Davidson dead at age 28’.

Just below the headline, it read: 'Kid Cudi meant to play funeral but fearful of bottle throwers', which was a reference to the rapper's recent Rolling Loud performance, which was abruptly cut short after bottles were hurled at him onstage.

But the rapper has never been quiet about his disdain over the former SNL star dating his ex-wife.

In March, Ye also released a music video for his collaboration with The Game, which depicted Pete in cartoon form being abducted and thrown onto the back of a motorcycle.
