Leonardo DiCaprio dating 19-year-old model would be the same as David Harbour dating Millie Bobby Brown

By now, we've all heard (and made) jokes about Leonardo DiCaprio and his young girlfriends, but as Leo gets older and the girls get younger, it's starting to get a little weird.

We all remember last year when the Titanic star dumped his girlfriend Camila Morrone just two months after her 25th birthday, right?

It was the source of endless jokes and memes about how Leo has never dated anyone older than 25 and, oh, how we laughed.

But now the 48-year-old actor has been spotted next to 19-year-old model Eden Polani, and the age gap is raising more eyebrows than usual.

The pair were photographed sitting side by side at a music release party hosted by artist Ebony Riley, and the rumour mill pretty much exploded.

TMZ has since reported the pair are not actually dating, with a source telling the outlet that 'just because Leo might be talking to or sitting with a girl doesn't mean he's dating her'.

However, this hasn't stopped people on social media being weirded out by the rumoured romance.

The model would be the youngest woman he's been with since he dated Gisele Bündchen when he was 24 and she was 18.

Or, to keep things more current, one TikTok user pointed out that it's almost the same age gap between The Last Of Us stars Pedro Pascal, 47, and Bella Ramsey, 19.

"It's off by one year, but it just really shows how f***ing nasty that is," @dee_penny told followers on the video-sharing app.

And viewers were more than happy to share their own deeply uncomfortable comparisons in return.

"He was 10 years out of high school when she was born," commented one user.

"I'm the same age as her and my parents are younger than him..." wrote another.

"It's a whole Harry Styles in-between them," noted a third, referring to the 29-year-old Grammy winner.

And a fourth pointed out that Leo was 'four years into a relationship with Gisele Bündchen' when Eden Polani was born.

Like I said, we have yet to see Eden and Leo walk a red carpet together or confirm anything publicly.

But, for both of their sakes, let's all hope that they keep things platonic.
