Bam Margera's brother shares 'scary' incident that led to Jackass star being on run from police

Bam Margera is on the run from police with his girlfriend and her child, eight, according to his brother Jess Margera

Bam Margera's brother Jess has shared the 'scary' incident that led to the Jackass star being on the run from police.

An arrest warrant by Pennsylvania State Police was issued for Margera, 43, after he was accused of punching his brother in the face during an altercation at their home in Philadelphia.

As the search for Bam continues, police said they were called to the home in response to a reported domestic disturbance shortly before 11.00am local time on Sunday (27 April).

During the altercations, Bam allegedly struck his brother several times around the head, warning: "I'll kill you. I'll put a bullet in your head."

According to court documents, Jess told officials that his brother kicked open his locked bedroom door that morning, and later punched him in the eye, nose and ear during a confrontation in the kitchen.

A police affidavit says that the brother also found a threatening handwritten note, signed 'Bam'.

The letter allegedly read: "If you even f***ing think of calling the police on me I will officially f*** you up."

The Jackass star has since been charged with simple assault, harassment, and four counts of terroristic threats.

Court documents did not list a lawyer for Margera.

Taking to Twitter, Jess issued his concern for his brother, saying that he is allegedly addicted to 'meth'.

"Seeing him screaming @ [at] a person that wasn't there, hallucinating. It's really scary and heartbreaking," he explained.

"His gf has her phone, I'm obviously very worried about Bam but I'm extremely worried about that there is an 8 year old child with them.

"I can't even imagine the environment in that car right now."

He also was puzzled by the cops' seeming inability to track his brother down.

"I mean I can talk to my lightbulbs," Jess added.

"My car can back out of the garage and pick me at the front door. Police should be able to track a phone right? Apparently I'm the a**hole."

Jess went on to tweet his account of the incident, and referred to it as not being an 'altercation' as such.

"I guess you could call it a physical altercation but honestly what it was is a guy (me) just waking up and making coffee and then being attacked by a wild animal (bam) for reasons I still don’t really understand," he wrote.

"I still don’t even know what he was mad at. This is a one sided meltdown dude."

This follows on from last month when Margera was arrested for public intoxication at an eatery in Los Angeles.

He dined at a Thai restaurant in Burbank on the afternoon of 29 March where his estranged wife Nikki Boyd and their son were eating.

Footage circulating on social media appeared to show the 43-year-old yelling in the restaurant before throwing open the door.

Another video appears to show him sitting on the pavement outside the restaurant as an officer speaks to him.
